Does week 0 tell us anything…. Very small sample size… but dogs prevailed… if you are favored 20-35 points in week one…and have seen this spread for a month…….. with turnover more than ever before in past…. Is your first game not a …..let’s see what we have as a group… and try not to get anyone hurt…. And if you can do that … is that not a ‘win’…. It probably is for the coaches…. Seems logical to me…. More of the same this week possibly…. Also 12 teams make it… so need to impress is just a tad less in week one also…. ???

I think you are correct on all of that. Definitely will be some wonky stuff occur in November when teams have a playoff spot secured (in theory)....no reason to go all out in the last game of the season vs a ranked opponent if you're in the top 8 or 10 probably, as a loss likely doesn't drop you out of top 12....
12 teams us too many. Of course their will be the occasional upset....but mostly the top 3 or 4 will always rise to to top....and their will be some terrible games.....they should have expanded to 6....give #1 & 2 byes as an incentive....then played the first 2 playoff games mid December.....semi finals new years day....final 2 Saturdays after that.....

Great to see you back Train - think the Huskers will be much improved this year fwiw
I concur. I think the defense will be solid....but I really expect the O to step up....Rhules 2nd year....Raiola at QB should bring life and energy.....and the RB situation is stacked....last I read Rhule said it was a 4 way tie.....so if they can just keep running fresh legs out there I expect some big chunks to start getting reeled off early and often....
Nothing more Nebraska wants than to put up some points and get the hype in Lincoln going again.....

I like the 'Huskers too. Looks like a 48-14 kinda game, but I'm a little leary of a back door cover. No opinion on your other bet, but I like the Gators to extend their home opener win streak to 34. 'Canes seem to underachieve every year, and they're 1-7 ATS as chalk vs power four teams under Cristobal. Plus, Miami can lose this game and still win the ACC. Seems weird to say any game is a must win in Week One, but Napier absolutely has to take care of biz at the Swamp with the toughest schedule in the country facing him.

I'm fine taking both home squads and getting + $.....other thought was to go Colo -2.5/Minn +9.5 teaser.....and that may still happen....Also looking at the Minn/UNC under....maybe 1st H....

Can't ever worry about back door covers and bad beats. Shit happens....gotta be willing to move on and not get hung up on things like that. It can mess with your mind and focus....and then snowball.....
