well, I lose on pushes, so I always bet 1/2's or buy the extra 1/2. You don't have to spend a lot of time on all those games. Every year I give away some $ betting college, but I only bet $30-50 so it doesn't hurt too bad. The NFL is another matter. I respect your judgement, and enjoy your write-ups and the handling on the fool. Hang in there, enjoy life and go on a big run. Oh, have been retired almost 8 years.

Boonies?? Train - I LIVE IN THE BOONIES - north central Nebraska - 2 1/2 hours from the nearest Wall Mart - when we travel we don't say how far we are going in miles - we say how far we are going in hours and sometimes minutes - however, we do have cable. Wouldn't trade where I live for anything. Enjoy your children while they are home - it goes by fast, especially when they hit the junior high age - spent 31 years in education before retiring at 55. Don't start your children in school until you absolutely by law have to - keep them around for as long as possible - what is another year to have them around? Priceless. As always, the Train is on the track as it should be. Good Luck as always!!!
Always glad to see you in my threads brother!! I have no plans to move, but the next house I buy will have no neighbors in sight.....
Thanks for coming by my friend

Welcome back Train! As a long time lurker/reader, and trying to be a more frequent poster, I truly respect your opinion and picks - one of the best on here!
I totally get what you are saying. Family comes first - I've been done your road too (more to do with hockey though). 43 years old, wife working afternoons for most our time together, plus a 17 yr old (who has issues with depression/anxiety).
I knew you'd be back - if it's a more conservative Train - it will be a more successful Train!

Fully understand ole buddy. My second child, turned into twin girls, making me a dad of 3 girls. When you read my obit, you'll know that I finally got to retire. Twins, while great, are a kick to the nutts when it comes to football time. At least they are cheerleading for their peewee team.

No kids for me yet, but your situation sounds eerily familiar. Less and less time with each passing year. "Big" plays getting smaller and smaller. Going from a reliable source of side income to a roller coaster ride that can't be counted on for anything but the entertainment/adrenaline.
The people who have kept up with you for a while understand what you're capable of when given the time. You don't need to continue proving anything to the folks that have been here for several years. Glad to hear you're choosing family. Enjoy them, and best of luck in all aspects of life in the future.

Really like the Washington TT O45 too, but most dont play those....
Concerned with the line move on KSU/UT? I am. I need to wait and see if Hubener is warming up as the starter before I do anything. If he starts, the Cats can still do it...but he's a liability. Much more so than Ertz, which is saying something.

Home field and a gigantic coaching advantage are enough for me.

You can have it all.. I raised. a 18 year old, a 7 year old current grand kid part time, etc Football is only 4 months a year- I was completely available the other 8 months and some weekends in the season .. I look at scores sure but my wife and the girls look at texts and instagram and Facebook.. This is your golf or boat, don't expect to make $ and don't sell yourself down a river!

He passed away late saturday evening .Im not going anywhere, but have come to some realizations. I turned 38 sunday, so I was at my folks house with my old lady, my little girl and my bro & sis n law and niece/nephew on saturday. Good times. My parents live out in the boonies and dont have cable, so I caught a bit of the Bama/Tenn. A bonfire/weiney roast was suggested. My brother then says he probably wouldnt see me out there cuz the Ohio St/Wisc game was on ABC. I got kind of upset....not at him, but at myself. He was right. I wanted to watch the game. Miss family time for a game I told my dad "wouldnt probably wind up in OT anyway"....before the game started. I went outside for a bit and did some thinking. Flipped a switch almost instantly. I havent done great this year (95-103 YTD). Didnt take me long to figure things out. I have a 3 year old. I spend a lot of time with her. The reason I post in the evenings is because I work evening shift. She doesnt nap as much anymore. Saturdays have gone from me watching football from 11am -midnite or beyond to maybe squeezing in a bit of some early games and possibly a little primetime action. My eye test is gone. Got baby #2 on the way, so my football watching will become even less as time progresses. Thats fine. I wouldnt trade my kid for anything in this world. Being a good dad is hard enough, but being on my phone checking scores all day is b.s. Its not fair to everyone around me. Ive done it for years. At the movies and out to eat....even in church. Addiction is a biotch. Luckily, I am stronger than that which has me addicted.Doesnt mean I am not gonna gamble or talk football, I just dont have the time to ake it seriously anymore. Just cutting way back/down. Withdrew a decent chunk from my books on monday morning. I felt better all day sunday and monday....I didnt even check out betonline for its openers....Dont worry about the "haters" running me off....The New Train69 is born starting this week.....50 games a week T69 is gone....probably forever....probablyPurdue/Nebraska U61.5Illinois +38.5Cuse +4.5UCF -3K St -2.5Mid Tenn/Mizzou U74W Mich -23.5Rutgers TT U13Washington TT O45Probably it for the week, but a couple more are possible. All small/normal. Thanks to all the good guys out there that keep this site worth coming to.
And you will see the difference in your life moving forward; Life is funny with all the twist and turns. Is how you handle each situation. Congratulations on the new you; God Bless your Family.
