Never could have imagined so many bad beats with so many underdogs on my card that the book needed. Needless to say that was one of the best public weekends in terms of College Football in a long time.

I was especially upset with Texas sloppy play. I was extremely confident with that under play and not for all the pic 6's and returns for touchdowns that one stays under fairly easily. Dont get me started on Indiana. All they had to do was sit on the ball for a push. Regardless, week is over and its time to turn over a new leaf and hopefully get back to some winning ways.

USC -2.5 (hook) - I know its public but I had to here. Definitely a huge public bet. I am going to watch the line movement very closely over the next day or so to see what happens here and If I want to increase my bet. This is a much more important game for USC then most understand. USC has Notre Dame and Stanford next on their schedule. I guess you can say this could be a look ahead scenario, a typical thursday night trap. I dont see it that way. I see it this way, if USC doesnt win here they are 4-4 before halloween. This team is too talented to be 4-4. If USC loses here it starts a cataclysmic landslide. Matt Barkley is the second most talented quarterback in the Pac-12 look for him to hit robert woods early and often to take the crowd out of this game.

The biggest misconception is that the crowd makes a thursday night game so difficult. Being a former college football player I can tell you the biggest disadvantage a team has is a short week and having to travel on top of that. Its not like USC is traveling very far for this one making the thursday night homefield advantage a little less of an edge for CAL. I see USC getting out early and Cal fighting back late, but in the end USC takes this one by more than 3 and out gains Cal pretty decisively

adding ---- Ohio State &#x2B;4 (LARGE) &#x2013; I&#x2019;ve watched Illinois and bet on&#xD;&#xA;many of their games this year and feel like I have a good beat on what kind of&#xD;&#xA;team they are. They&#x2019;ve had the football gods on their side this year and have&#xD;&#xA;won some very close games. They are the softest 6-0 team in the country right&#xD;&#xA;now and I feel like this is going to be the week they finally drop one. With&#xD;&#xA;Herron coming back at running back OSU will have some much needed help on the&#xD;&#xA;offensive side of the ball. They&#x2019;ve been very good defensively all year and I&#xD;&#xA;think they are going to start figuring it out offensively as they start getting&#xD;&#xA;players back and they get used to having a new coach. Look for them to win out&#xD;&#xA;right here. Consider the money line or take the points.

Baylor &#x2B;10  - Hard not&#xD;&#xA;to bite here with RG III up against a terrible secondary. I&#x2019;ve watch A&amp;M&#xD;&#xA;many times this year, coming into the year they were my dark horse to take the&#xD;&#xA;big 12. I knew for them to be successful they would have to improve their&#xD;&#xA;secondary. With most of their starter back from last year you would have&#xD;&#xA;thought that would happen. Wrong. The secondary has been giving up big yards to&#xD;&#xA;everyone, put a guy on the field that have an 80 percent completion percentage,&#xD;&#xA;well I don&#x2019;t know I would say it&#x2019;s a fair chance that he keeps it close. Its&#xD;&#xA;not like hes going to turn the ball over much. That 19/1 TD to interception&#xD;&#xA;rate is something you&#x2019;d see on a video game.

sadly all it take is an average QB to cut up that secondary. This is going to be another a&amp;m game that goes down to the wire. At very worst your looking at a late back door cover. Sherman has no clue how to manage a game.

Tennessee &#x2B;17 (buy 1/2) &#x2013; When I first saw this line I&#xD;&#xA;assumed that LSU was at home. I was going to take Tennessee even on the road&#xD;&#xA;here, at home this seems like somewhat of a no brainer to me. I understand&#xD;&#xA;Tennessee has Bray out and has to go with their back up QB, but Matt Simms is a&#xD;&#xA;senior with a lot of experience. He almost pulled this game out last year on&#xD;&#xA;the road at LSU. I think LSU sadly is overrated. That win at Florida should be&#xD;&#xA;taken with a grain of salt. Florida looked a lot like the Colts without Peyton&#xD;&#xA;Manning with Brantley out. LSU is a good team but offensively they&#x2019;ve gotten&#xD;&#xA;pretty lucky. I think this is the game Lee plays poorly and the QB controversy&#xD;&#xA;with Jordan Jefferson really heats up. LSU pulls this one out late.  Keep in mind this game has been decided by one&#xD;&#xA;score or less 4 straight seasons. Tenn go 16 on the road last year and almost&#xD;&#xA;pulled of a huge upset.
