I am so proud of the way my Boys stood toe to toe and traded punch for punch with the SEC bad Boys of Bama. I heard for 2 weeks how Bama was going to make a statement against OU and how Saban was going to punish Stoops for his comments about calling some of the SEC stories "propaganda" and taking jabs at the SEC defenses. He acknowledged that he thought Bama was the best team in the country and that he looked forward to the opportunity to get play them. Even the announcers before the game gave OU no shot. I watched the line climb and climb and climb again. I won't lie...I gave OU a very slim chance at winning this game and thought often about betting on Bama but I just couldn't bet against my Boys. I went as far as to watch the Auburn/ Bama game again and I couldn't get over how easy Auburn moved the ball on the unbeatable Bama defense. Over the years Stoops has been under alot of criticism for not winning the Big game and I have defended him relentlessly because of his ability to get the Sooners into a BCS Bowl game, which he has more times than any other coach in the country. I told many that if OU could pull off this upset it would be the 2nd biggest win in his tenure at OU next to his 2000 upset of Bowden's FSU squad for the National Championship. Like him or not fellas you have to take your hat off to what he accomplished tonight having his boys ready to play in the Sugar Bowl and beating the SEC's best.. I couldn't be more proud of my Sooners!
Congrats to all who backed the
Boomer Sooners!!
