Quite the contrary.  I've been quietly following him since the season started.  I know he knows his stuff, its just we agree to disagree on the Gator/Bama game.  He might very well be right and Bama might be able to move the ball on the ground with their O-line control the clock and pull the upset. I'll tip my hat to him.  But it ain't gonna happen.

Why is everyone talking about Bama's weak schedule?  They played the same Ole' Miss that Florida did, and won.  They are 8-0 in the SEC, 12-0 overall.  Are they saying the SEC in general is weak this year??

Bama beating UF in 99 has nothing to do with now, thats what OSU fans said to UF fans before the fiesta bowl in 06 about beating speed. lol.... That didn't end up well, this one has the same chance, too many people are doubting Florida in a championship game which most of their team has already played in two. This one will either be a UF blowout or a Bama win. No medium

People really have me mixed on the Florida/Bama game.  I really like the dominance of Florida's offense and frankly the Bama defense makes me a little weary.  They had trouble holding Georgia, Kentucky, Miss, and LSU..  ugh.. probably no play for me.

the thing about handicapping any one game is that even those of us who have no idea what we're doing (hello nostradamus) have a 40-50% of being right even if it's the wrong side or like many games where there is no right side, then everyone who had the winning side can feel smart for a day even if the overall year is not good and overhyping the outcome of what is just another game
 
jwheels - dammit and I thought that 1999 game was going to help Alabama backers in this game - enjoyed those FL and LSU wins over Ohio St all the way to the bank my friend. Regardless of what happens in the game, Ohio St and Alabama should never be mentioend in the same sentence - crimson tide would beat them 31-10, 8 out of 10 games (and Florida probably wins 45-10 most nights having more explosive offensive and similar defense) GL
 
longshornwin - i wondered the same thing about scheduling playing many of the same teams in SEC and Bama playing Clemson and Florida playing FSU out of conference unless people still believe MiaFL is a good team, as far as the Ole Miss loss where both AL and FLA played them on the home field is as if that never happened GL
 
djplayer - agree sometimes passing on a game is the correct play

terri - that would only be fun over the course of a season and if we each put 10K in the pot winner take all, that will never happen because yahama probably doesn't have $10 and if micander has 10K you can be damn sure the wife is not letting him blow it allowing him to get dragged around for a year like a rented mule and then explain where the money went

Don't think either could beat themselves to a hard-on, let alone going head2head against respected cappers.
Too many hide behind computer screens wearing frilly knickers thinking their shit don't stink. The turn to water and disappear then suddenly reappear when it suits or when the wife lets them.
 
Maybe covers will come up with something for next season (hint hint) V the haters.

i can vouch for nos on the Nevada line... had them at (-3.5) and never bought any points to get it there... all about getting the right lines early... everyone and their mother had TT... early TO's were the only reason they didn't blow out Baylor... Nebraska was a bad play, but it happens...

too many people doubting florida where is this coming from? because a select few people are on bama instead of your most hyped team in the nation gators? as far as blowout or loss, i really see this one coming down to the last 5 minutes/ last 3 drives combined deciding the winner.

also, like the card a lot. only real difference is i like ULL tomorrow night, but it will be a real small play. might even take it off completely. if oklahoma doesn't cover i hope they lose, do my longhorns some justice.

jwheels - no not debating that one, Alabama 08 would beat Ohio St 06 more games than not, the game involving a top tier SEC team against Ohio St has already been played and OSU lost big to both FL and LSU. The great Ohio St team of 06 totalled 82 yardslosing 41-14 against a FL team that lost to Auburn and won half their games by a TD or less. This year's FL team is much better than 06 so if Alabama does any better than 06 OSU did in losing 41-14 and gaining 82 yds then that would be an improvement. Florida may have a better team than Alabama, though if I were an NFL GM though the first 4-5 picks would probably go for Tide players - Smith, Cody, McClain, Arenas, Jones, etc - as a shock to most Gator fans Jones will be a better pro than Harvin running around with his panties over his head for 2 or 3 plays until he gets hurt, if he's getting injured all the time in college wait until the NFL lays him out - Tebow will not be a great pro and probably won't even start- unless now we're pretending that FL QBs and WRs (or even OL or defense for tha matter) have done great in the NFL

Oklahoma 52 Missouri 27 - as long as weather is decent doubt Mizzou has the defense to stop the Sooners offensive machine, while Tigers should do some damage against OU defense. Sooners won this title matchup 38-17 last year and have only improved since that one, while Missouri gradually wearing down due to nagging injuries. Rout.
 
Alabama 30 Florida 27 - doubt the Florida defensive line has been tested by the likes road grader OT Smith and company (other than possibly Ole Miss Oher in 31-30 loss) and hopefully DT Cody lands on Harvin's ankle and crushes the bone into tiny pieces. Gators won matchup 28-13 in 2006 (national champs) although game was played fairly even and Bama won 31-3 the year before. Alabama played their opener in Atlanta crushing Clemson (early wager at +5 looking pretty good now) so that should not hurt. Upset.
 
Troy 38 Ark St 17 - Troy motivated not to blow Sun Belt title opportunity after blowing the game to FAU last year, and Red Wolves not playing their best football lately losing to ULL and FIU and barely beating UNT while Troy barely lost to LSU and pounded ULL 48-3.
 
Tulsa 45 ECU 20 - on first glance it might seem ECU could match scores, however Tulsa owns recent matchups (31-10 and 45-13 in 2005 and 2006) and Pirates unlikely to contain explosive Tulsa offense on the home turf (lowest scoring output at home was 49 against a pretty good UCF defense). ECU offense and defense suffering from mounting injuries late in the year.
 
Va Tech 17 BC 14 - although the first game went 28-23 there were 2 defensive TDs and 1 punt return TD and yardage was fairly low (plus VT defense not at its best on turf). Same teams played in ACC title game last year and went 30-16 and that was with 2 defensive TDs and some guy named Ryan at QB.
 
Middle Tenn 30 ULL 27 - MTSU playing fairly well lately and looking for revenge for last year's upset, Blue Raiders won last visit to this field in 2006 (34-20). ULL on recent 3 game slide and not playing their best ball and like the points in even matchup with less than intimidating crowd likely.
