I really feel like standing my ground. I think the Irish take care of business, even if it is close early. They are a 4th quarter team.

No point in making the bet in the first place with the intention of pussing out on the last step. Hold your ground like a man.

I am hoping for a ND advantage early. If it is a blowout, well a blowout is a blowout, and very hard to catch a backdoor on a team thats overwhelmed.

I have to have a feel that Temple gets the lead early and holds on for the first half. I just feel like ND can find openings and just extend the lead all game. Therefore I have to hold off.

1st H is critical. Watch for injuries, big plays, see if Temple can use their two offensive weapons effectively

Noone pointed it out (I was waiting for that) my MISTAKE for buying points with USC, Va Tech.... This cut the payoff in half. Yikes. Bad habit. Comes from being burned before. I did expect CAL to compete at home.

If you got the bankroll I would hedge on that middle try, Nothing wrong with winning a couple of dimes and not having to stress it out, and you could hit both

just playing Temple over 20 points TT

If they cover 9 points they will have to score. This way I can middle if they lose say 48-21

I'm gonna go for the Temple TT because I think they can do this. ND can allow big plays, and 3 TDs is doable at home. In a blowout, ND might relax on D who knows.

gave in, because line moved to 11.5, so I could buy 2 points and still land on a 13, a likable fb score.

I was in this situation once - nice hits by the way! I was was watching a movie in the theater when I noticed I hit 9 of 10 games in a parlay, which would be decided by a late hawaii game back in 2009. This was a fun bet, never thought to be in a position to win it. I was looking at making a lot. I decided to let it ride and it won! Was super excited, but that was the emotional part of me playing. Logically, I would have hedged, but with the win amount, my hedge would be peanuts... Point it, I think you made the best choice with a hedge. I usually prefer only to hedge about 20% of the win amount. So at least you're a nice winner, but don't take too much away from a smooth parlay.

The point in gambling is to treat it like investing. Not many people respect this. Hedging is the smart route. With hedging, you guarantee a win. No matter what. You also have the potential to middle a bet, and win both. That is smart investing. Limit the downside risk. Of course, all of us say awh, screw it let it ride, but when you are in an actual position to make this decision, you must be smart about it.
