There should be more coming out about this in the next few hours, but I think this guy may have coached his last game. Hard to believe someone takes the opportunity of a lifetime and pisses all over it.

I would tread very lightly on any ND pick this weekend. That could be a bundle of points being given by the Irish, and I bet most of the fellas at USC were not really listening to "the drunk guy."

A change in attitude may be all it takes to get this team to wake up. Quite a bit of talent on that team.

I agree. Think Sark may have been the thing dragging these guys down.

He already had the job of a lifetime @ Washington. It seemed a little strange that he left so quickly & that the UW brass didn't really bat an eye, but I see why now.

All the rumors in regards to his drinking are true.  I live in Seattle, have Husky season tickets and had some up close encounters with Sark when he was here.  Everything you read in regards to his drinking it is true........x10.  Not sure how to take this news.  You have the reeling factor of playing without the head coach, or on the flip side you have the troops rallying amid adversity.  I have seen this story line play out far too much on both spectrum's.  You have to ask yourself though, how high is this line if ND beats Clemson, they pretty much outplayed them significantly after the rough start in the pouring rain.  You are probably looking at a -9, -10 type game.

he's an alcoholic, he leaves UW to go to his dream job, he gets the best 4 & 5 star recruits in the country

he has an embarrasing moment at a USC banquet or whatever it was

the former freakin' Boise St coach that got his old job rolls down to the Coliseum and beats him with average talent

I think he knew that loss doomed him in the eyes of everyone involved with USC, it was probably disheartening and he turned to the bottle again, feel bad for the guy but he made his bed

I don't wish a sick disease on anyone but I do wish he would lose his job and get another one, USC is a sitting on a gold mine now that they are off probatioin, they need to bring in a big time coach and get back to winning titles

Sark is done at USC, that's a guarantee now 

and this line will rise all week from this news giving me a notion to middle to my bet, I have ND -2 but I'd take USC at 7 or more all day long 
.

meanwhile, UW got the better end of the deal, they have a better coach that is getting them back to where they want to be

Peterson is a good dude that knows how to build a winner, hard not to like him as a coach, the Huskies will be relevant as long as he is there IMO

Reports are coming out that he was allegedly drunk coaching the Arizona St game! What a disaster! No way this guy just developed a drinking problem once he came to USC. This falls on Pat Haden for not doing his due dilligence prior to this hire. This is a dream job where you can attract the best coaches. And he hires alcoholic armenian. Great job Pat. Way to earn your millions.

I feel bad for Orgeron.  He had his dream job and he is a great recruiter and the players wanted him, and senile Pat Haden fires him to hire a drunk.  Oregron could have hired a good OC.  it doesn't take a genius at HC if you recruit top talent..

All Pat Haden needed to do was keep Orgeron or hire Petersen. The results we know all too well now. Orgeron may or may not come back. Haden would have to beg. I think he is going to be forced to look away from the Carroll lineage. The rest of the conference has caught up with that style of play with a decade of building to beat USC. Could they steal Tom Herman from Houston? That guy seems to make pros out of pedestrians.

SC's hit man got him in the rehab check in line. he yelled "F*** THIS" and started drinking in the waiting room.
