Wow I knew this would be the sole reason FSU gets left out but I never would have thought the committee would openly admit it as they had no other argument.  It's like no matter how great you are, if your best player goes down and no matter how well they play in his absence it's over.  That's pretty much the message they sent.  A big FU to FSU.  In the end fans got what they wanted.  NCAA definitely got what they wanted $$$ (which is really what it was all about).  As a die hard UNC fan I do feel bad for FSU fans out there and even worst for the players 

NO..Unless he got injured in the 1st quarter and Michigan struggled to beat Iowa like a scored of 13-6..then quite possibly...The problem with FSU is once Travis went out some 4 games ago..they do not look like a Top 5 team....If Travis got injured in the ACC Ship game then FSU would have gotten in..because noone would know how bad the offense would be and if they are a severe lesser team

No. This was a bull$hit excuse because they had no real justification for keeping them out after ranking them #4 for the last 3 weeks without Jordan Travis. If this truly mattered the committee would not have had them ranked #4 coming into the weekend without JT. The committee should just keep it real and say our sole basis for the rankings is how the teams looked and performed this weekend in conference tournaments in our eyes because that is how they chose them. 4 best, 4 deserving is all bull$hit. They truly based it on their perception of one weekend of action.

Also not sure what the confusion is...The committee made it clear weeks ago that its the 4 best teams...and not the 4 most deserving...It is what it is...

Michigan actually got out gained by FSU yesterday so where does that justify FSU isnt the same team. Louisville stacked the box and they still ran the ball down there throat. The committee absolutely made an excuse to say because they are not the same team without Travis. Thats how they made the case for Alabama to be one of the 4 teams. Texas and Alabama are one of the best 4 teams left according to the committee what about Georgia. They are better than Washington why are they not in. They would beat any of the 4 teams in that top 4. The committee says best 4 teams. Georgia is a top 4 team so the committee messed up. 

The confusion is that no one knows who the 4 "best teams" are because they all do not get to play each other and the committees idea of who is "best" is based on their own perception. By logic a an undefeated 13-0 Power 5 team that wins their conference should be in over 1 or both 1 loss Power 5 teams that win their conference. The records should matter not how the committee felt that the teams looked for 1 week out of the entire year. Alabama was not considered one of the best 4 or best 7 teams last week when they looked like $hit against a bad Auburn team. But with one win this week by 3 points, they are all of the sudden one of the "best"? It is irrational. 

IOWA has a Great defense...There is a reason why that team won 10 games and made it to the B10 Ship with a Backup QB and probably bottom 10 offense in all of college football....The previous game Michigan put up 30 on TOSU So u can't say FSU outgained Michigan yesterday when the previous week they beat #2 ranked TSOU and out up 30 on them..

This makes zero sense. Bama legit looked like dog $hit a week ago and won. But you discredit FSU winning by more than Bama did last week at Auburn in both weeks without Jordan Travis. You are showing your Bama and SEC bias. It really is as simple as that. The committee got it wrong. If they thought FSU was so much lesser without Jordan Travis they should have been ranked 6-7 coming into this week, not #4. The committee just makes $hit up on the fly to get the SEC in, which is the problem.

Agreed. I have no idea why Michigan moved up to 1 over Washington either. For beating a dog$hit Iowa team while showing nothing on offense. Michigan about to get blown out.
