if both Oregon and Auburn lose then Stanford or Wisconsin will play TCU

If Auburn loses, and TCU wins, nothing will change.  They are a very distance 3rd, and it's no accident.  Nothing can prevent the Auburn/Oregon championship matchup.

that's not even close to being true.. Auburn will still be high in the computers, but unless voters keep them and 2 or drop them no less than 3.. they won't make up the different.. find it hard to believe a team that just lost would stay above TCU, Stanford, Wisky.. even dropping to 5th would take them out of the title game..

If you don't win your conference, therefore are not the best team in your conference, how can you say you are the best team in the nation..

I think your right Fever,,if they do lose, they will not stay ranked above those teams,,that is the pits about losing your last game insted of your first.

TCU's season is over so they won't win.....if Auburn loses trust me they will play Ohio St in the Sugar Bowl(finish the season with 2 game losing streak )  I know Fever and Totter will like that last comment!!!

I understand where you are coming from, but how on earth can a one loss auburn be ranked below wisky or stanford in the polls? Unless the game is a complete blowout for SC their resumes really arent that close at all. Even with a loss auburn is clearly above those two teams.  Also, even if Auburn loses to SC they will still have the best record of any SEC team AND have the best record against SEC opponents  Technically SC will be the SEC champ if they win, but to anyone following college football seriously Auburn is the best team in that conference this year

If SC wins it in a close game then it will be a really tough call.  Although I would wager that Auburn would be less of a dog to Oregon than TCU would be.

If SC wins it in a close game then it will be a really tough call.  Although I would wager that Auburn would be less of a dog to Oregon than TCU would be.

If you don't win your conference, therefore are not the best team in your conference, how can you say you are the best team in the nation..

The only way we'll know for sure is if it happens.  That's another option.  The NCAA will make sure it won't happen.  They don't want their silly BCS garbage system to look any worse than it does.  Trust me.........the title game is already decided.

Look at the 2007 LSU team.  They went from #1, to #7, and back to #2.  All in the last 3 weeks of the season.  The bottom line is, they wanted LSU in the title game.  The BCS committee puts who they want in the game.  Don't kid yourself.  They will NEVER allow a non BCS conference in the title game.
