not only would they do that... they did do that...
i swear sometimes i think most people just watch the box scores, or are borderline psychotic... pretty sure i was watching the same game as everyone else... TCU controlled all 3 phases of the game... pure and simple!
let's try to remember that Wisconsin got 40 yards on their first running play, but after that only had 2 runs for over 10 yards the rest of the game... TCU had more than that...
this perception that Wisconsin dominated the line of scrimmage is a delusion... it didn't happen!

Wisconsin's offensive line did domimate TCU's defensive line. The problem is that Wisconsin did not call plays to take advantage of that dominance until the last drive. TCU won the game with superior coaching, not because of superior talent.
And no TCU does not deserve a national championship for beating a Big 10 team that almost half of the SEC would beat by multiple TDs.

TCU is also better than both Oregon and Auburn, but they don't get a chance to prove it. I don't understand what Boise and TCU have to do to get respect. Every time they find themselves in a matchup with a Big 6 school, they win. Boise will rip apart Georgia in their season opener next season and then likely roll through their remaining schedule, which is at least tougher than the joke of the WAC. TCU has one more year before the move to the Big East, so they'll at least be able to get respect then. It's only a matter of time before Boise joins the Pac 10 and both these teams will have the opportunities they deserve to prove they belong.

Question: Why did TCU beat Wisconsin?
Answer: Because TCU is better than Wisconsin.

What the heck is a big 6 school? The more you and Apoc say the more ammo you give to Knowledegable football fans!

Please tell me how Wisconsin beat themselves. Did they turn the ball over in the red zone? Did they commit stupid 15 yard personal fouls? Both teams played a hard fought game and the better team won.
Did you watch the game? Good Lord man... the answer is basically constructive YES and HELL YES to your questions above. Opening drive WISC drives right down on this vaunted TCU defense and Toon drops a pass right in his hands at the 1. Should have been an easy TD but they live with getting 3, so in this game it might as well been a turnover in the red zone because not getting 7 is big and that was on WISC NOT TCU. TCU did nothing to prevent that play from happening, just bonehead Toon dropping it.
Later in the 1H the WISC kicker missed a chip shot FG. One that and I quote Musty says has never missed from this distance this year. Again what did TCU do to prevent this? WISC again beating themselves.
In the 2H on a critical 2nd and forever the refs call a pass interference (same 15 yard penalty as a personal foul) that wasn't a pass interference for one and two was clearly uncatchable. TCU scores a TD on that drive. TCU might have converted on third and forever but I would take my chances.
WISC dropped three INTS, whereas TCU didn't even have a chance at one. WISC could have ran on WISC ALL DAY LONG if they would have gameplanned it (why they didn't I don't have the foggiest). The WISC drive before the half where they were satisfied to go for the FG instead of the TD despite having all three time outs. TCU defense was beyond gased. I have no doubt that absent a fumble if WISC ran four more times it would have been a TD from that range. They had three times outs I never got that decision either. So I stick to my original point that TCU was lucky to escape with a win. WISC beat WISC. Just the missed FG alone despite all the above WISC should have won.
That being said, I posted above that TCU deserves the #2 ranking but get the F out of here with a share in the national title.

There are more than two teams that TCU couldn't beat. The BCS got it right again.
How do u know there are any teams that can beat TCU? U Dont and will never know Cause there isnt a Playoff and until there is a PLAYOFF THERE WILL NEVER BE A NATIONAL CHAMPION in COLLEGE FOOTBALL THE BCS IS A ABSOLUTE DISGRACE AND SHOULD JUST BE DISBANDED

It's simple: TCU would have just loaded the box and dared Wisky to beat them with the pass.
After the opening run... you know the one on the FIRST PLAY FROM SCRIMMAGE where Monte Balll ran for 40 yards they loaded the box all game long. There was never less than 7 in the box (usually 8 or 9) unless it was an obvious passing down. The problem is that the offensive coordinator outsmarted himself and figured oh I see 9 in the box I will throw it. Forgetting about how his QB would throw it short, high and outside or his recievers would drop it. If WISC ran up the gut all game long they would have won by 10 or more. Unfortunately do to bad decision making we will ever know. I walked away from the game more convinced than ever that if anyone got screwed it was WISC, they are an impressive team. I will give credit to TCU in that they did play pretty good pass defense but their vaunted run defense was no match for WISCs run game (their strength). Sometimes you just got to shake your head and wonder at this coaches.

LOL!!! TCU got lucky to beat Wisconsin. What on earth makes you think they could compete with Auburn or any other top-tier SEC team? Auburn would beat them by 3-5 TDs, just like they will do to Oregon. The game would not be close.

I couldn't agree more....I think today should end the argument of them not deserving a chance at the National Championship
TCU exerted a lot of effort to barely beat Wiscy and probably would have nothing left in the tank if they had to play again next week. They earned the Rose Bowl win which is the most prestigious traditional bowl win you can get.
Call it a season.
Life is not like a video game where you can endlessly play games one after another. It is a huge effort and expense to travel a football team and the band, not to mention 40,000 fans. It is a great thing for all these fans to go to one warm weather bowl game a year where they can plan their vacation months in advance and play a "fun" game. It is another to ask 50,000 people to go to three different cities (8 team playoff) in three weeks, with the last games booked on less than a week's notice, and the game is not fun but "survive and advance".

You are wrong so often it makes me think TCU might be the best team this year.

Thorpe for idiot!!! TCU beat a mediocre Big Ten 10 co-champ!! Big Ten cannot hold the SEC's drip bucket!! Nor could/can TCU. Its the NFL,its the SEC, then it is the rest of the nation combined!! And I am a Texas A&M fan/grad. Aggies may be able to surprise LSU so looking forward to that . As well as the pressure Tressel is under to save Big Ten face agst Ark. If OSU loses the Sugar then the TCU win is even more worthless!!

Undefeated TCU over Wisconsin. These are my national champs. Forget the
overrated football mills.

LOL I know I should let this go but stupid posts like this make me laugh. Yes there were one or two nice tackles by TCU against this WISC running game, but THEY WERE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. Lets look at the facts... Wisconsin ran for 226 yards at a 4.9 yard clip. That is the second most TCU gave up all year (most was against SMU earlier in the year) and I have no doubt that if Wisconsin stuck to the running game they would have been over 300 yards against this so called power defense.
I didn't see all the 10, 20, 30 and 40 yard runs made by WISC in your video. I promise you this there were more of those runs by WISC than great tackles by TCU against this run game yesterday.
