Based on the spread (10) and total (51), we can project the Gator team total at about 30.5 or 31. They've avg 49 pts (yowza!!) a game since Ole Miss (excluding Citadel game) and indoors on the fast turf at the dome they should scorch the dead elephant D for something well in excess of 30 or 31. Meyer will show no mercy here as everything is at stake (SEC Championship, NC title game) and he will not hesitate to desintegrate that team from Tuscaloosa leaving them befuddled, bewitched and bewildered . Saban has no chance to hold this team down and the only modicum of hope he has is to try and score with them as best he can (hopeless I know but nonetheless).
This IMO is the best play for the SEC title game in addition to Gators minus the points of course.

bama defense is the toughest they've faced all year....49 ppg .....you do know that includes 70 vs the citadel ......be careful my friend...not to mention no Harvin.....

i am stuck right now. did not think this line would come out with florida being -10. some might have seen that but not me. that bama d is tough. you could argue about what florida did to the south carolina d, who is supositely a really good d. but look what clemson did to that d this wknd. harvin being out is a very very important factor to consider here. i do believe bama played the weaker portion of the sec this year, of course the sec as a whole was weaker this year than usual. ironically i believe this will be their first true test. i guess you can consider ole miss somewhat of a test for bama since they beat florida in the swamp. i believe (or hope) this line will drop a little.

Train, I excluded the Citadel game and Harvin isn't worth more than a couple pts off their avg, whether he plays or not. This is not a one man show Meyer's operating in Gainesville, Florida has a bevy of speed and skill players the likes of which Bama has never encountered.
This game will be humbling for Bama's D. Lots of dead elephants in the dome this Saturday.

South Carolina was statistically ranked no.1 when they played Florida. They are ranked 11th right now. We know how that ended up

Well dixie if it starts to go up you better get unstuck real quick and hammer the Gators, then throw down as much as you can afford to lose on the Gator team total as they may get it before the half.
Then sit back and watch the demolition job continue in the 2nd half knowing you're already home free with one bet.
Enjoy the game!

Don't tell Bama fans as they are apparently of the opinion that their the No. 1 team in the country (at least the polls say so) and there's no way the No. 1 team could be an underdog of 10 points to anybody . Much less Florida "who hasn't played anybody" and simply ran up the score on the weaklings in the SEC to hopefully impress the pollsters. So averaging 50 pts against the SEC really doesn't mean much. It's just hype by the media.
This is a sample of the logic coming from some of the dead elephant backers; desperados trying to make a case.
Did I convince you at all ??

intel, i told myself a week ago would go with florida no matter what spread would be. i am sure i will stick with that instinct. i am just not going to tell everyone to jump on follow me it's a lock. only thing i can truly say on bama's behalf is they have not tripped and stumbled on a team yet. noticed i said yet. in close games they have found a way to win. maybe not as impressive scores and wins as florida.but saying that, florida obviously can be beaten. all these avg's and stats did not help them against ole miss. i will go with florida but by far will not call it a gurantee.

All my money in the world on Florida I'm really thinking they put it on Bama' don't get me wrong Alabama is a very good football team. Although some wins were ugly they were still wins. They did have to find ways to win, but they did it. Which is scary. Reminds me of the Ohio State team in 2002, found ways to win the Purdue game, mind you they didn't have to play a conference championship game against the likes of Florida though.

dixie, I agree that lock is a four letter word when it comes to gambling and any sane person understands that. However, this Gator show is simply too frighteningly explosive for any defense to encounter, and Bama (or at least some of their backers) should be prepared for the devastation to come as some may still be recovering from this one well past New Year's (after all this is the No. 1 team in the country were talking about).
Prepare for "Shock therapy" the hardway Bama fans.

Who, the last sentence sums it up. Let's face it there's never ever been an offense in the lil' 10 remotely comparable to this Gator machine. Not to mention we've already seen what a weaker edition of this Gator attack can do to the Suckeyes. If memory serves it was the NC game a couple years, 41-14 I believe. Basically over by HT.

If the betting public goes 78% or higher on Florida, Bama will win. Shit is fixed big time. Or Florida wont cover.
Running with your "conspiracy" angle for the moment, I would think the big boys would want to see the Florida Gator juggernaut over the Bama grind anyday. Which do you think would be more appealing to the nation?

If the public is betting on Florida and the line keeps droping then that meens that vegas is betting on Bama. I'm betting with vegas! I too was planning on playing Florida no matter the spread, but have been having second thoughts. Still not fully decided which way to go yet.

Honestly, guys this topic is a subject for a whole nother thread. If the "fix" is in on this or any other game I certainly would not be aware of it. I'm looking at numbers and matchups and that's it. If there's "monkey business" goin on it's outta are hands, I'm betting the game not the "fix".
And the game says B-L-O-W-O-U-T!!!

Bama fans are getting trapped in betting this game, either you bet UF or nothing in this game. Betting against UF could make you feel stupid real quick, that tough defense shit dont work when your finally playing a team that dont cough the ball up right to you with an anemic offense. Dont get caught in the hunters trap ignorant bama people, you just might get burned by 24 +

jw, you and I see it the same way, the Bama folks don't understand that the Florida Off operates on a whole nother dimension than anything else they've ever seen. These Gators will be flying at warp speed while the dead elephants will be floundering in super slow-mo; until they experience it first hand they'll never understand it and once they do they'll never forget it. It will be humbling and shatter their confidence no doubt but it's OK because they're not going to encounter anything like it again (until next year anyway, if they play).
They can still go to a good bowl and finish off a very successful season, but the NC game is out of the question for them the moment this game kicks off.
I say Florida scores a bare minimum of 40 and the sky is the limit for the maximum. Gimme Over the team total for the MAX!!!
