Yeah, you heard me - last day of 2022 and the CFRB playoffs start along with a good Bama v Kansas St game. I am not even going to consider the Iowa v Ky game cause really too many players missing to make it a worthwhile bet. But anyhow for all those posters here who like to be keyboard critics man up and post your best bet for the 3 bowl games...the Bama game plus the 2 CFB playoff games. If not shut up and go into 2023 just the way you are...a sideline critic. Yeah, I am going to post my bets and probably go 0-3 but you know i got the cahonas to do that while you sit in the sideline waiting for others to put theirs out. For once in 2022 and your last chance - start a thread, post your bet and selection and let's see what you got.....i say this as I go running out the back door to my shed to hide LOOOOOOOL.
'Bama v Kansas State - Bama is -7.5 and O/U is 57....the popular pick is Bama. I get it, everyone thinks Saban and the boys are mad and want to beat up on K State. But you got to give K State some credit. I feel in some ways K State is like TCU...just gamers, kids who love to play football whether they get outgunned or not. I am gun shy with playing the Over/Under given what happened last night in the Clemson-Tenn game where it fell way short of the total 61. I guess against my better judgment i am going with the OVER in this game as my bet. I would say i am going to bet a fair amount here.
TCU v Michigan - Mich is -7.5 and O/U 59.5 - i have watched perhaps 75% of these teams regular season games and made money off both. TCU are just gamers...they bring it every game. Sometimes i felt they were overmatched or outplayed yet they came back to win. They don't give up. I think the strongest part of their game is their Offense where they can get up the field pretty quickly and Duggan can do it both ways - pass and throwing. Michigan on offense will rely on their running game with their offensive line trying to man handle TCU's D line and then Michigan is dangerous off those play action passes if their running game gets going. In terms of Defense Michigan hands down has the better unit. So hard to cap when teams are off 3 weeks , just so hard. Sometimes you just go with the intangibles, TCU's resilisency and so I am going to take TCU and the points for a small bet. Michigan may win but i am hoping it comes down to like some last drive and that TCU can keep it close.
Ohio St v Georgia - GA -6 and o/u 62.5....I might be asleep by the time this game comes on especially if i am going to be drinking starting at Noon then Caps hockey game. This might be sort of like the CLemson-Tenn game with the defenses stepping up?? I don't man this is the most difficult one to cap. There are aspects of both teams I like. I mean Georgia has been here and has that experience...i don't care what people say Stetson Bennett is a winner and knows what to do to win. The line is at 6 which entices you to bet on GA knowing a TD will cover but that's how sneaky Vegas is...they entice you LOL. Fudge it...i am going with Ohio State getting the points.
So hoping it is a dawg type game as I am taking TCU and Ohio State both getting the points and the over in the Bama game.
So what say you MEN or perhaps i should say BOYS...go ahead post up and let's see what you think and got.
I hope you all take this with how it was intended...just fun, just fun...HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE BE SAFE OUT THERE

Yeah close games are very likely. In 16 semifinal games there has been exactly zero games won by 5 or less and only three won by 6/7. All others were blowouts. Easiest bets made are today. I guess I’m a boy. But it happens every year. Nothing changes. The true better teams blows out the lesser team. 13 of 16 times. Nothing changing today. Michigan. Georgia and Alabama roll. Tease em all and enjoy the holiday.

Here's how the Champion of Gambling Mediocrity sees things today - placed earlier this morning:
Iowa -2 -115 (bought 1/2 pt...I always buy to an even number, don't mind the extra juice to eliminate the possibility of losing by a hook)
Alabama -7 -105 ...I'd love K-State to pull off the upset, but just don't see it.
Haven't yet placed, but likely will:
TCU currently at +7.5, I will buy to +8 if this holds (yes, I always buy the 1/2...FWIW I have tracked this, it's about a break-even, arguments can be made for and against..it's just what I do)
Georgia -6
As a longtime gambler, but a mediocre (at best) capper, I bet only beer money!
Thanks for the thread G and best of luck to all
Champion of gambling mediocrity... this is one heck of a long marathon!

Thanks for stopping by - nah, you're a man - cause you came on and gave an opinion BEFORE the game not like many who wait until after the game to harass others. Good luck and have a good new year's eve.
@Martylee
I too think that's a strong play - give NIck Saban and his crew 3 weeks to prepare and I think they come out firing. Good luck and thanks for stopping by my man.
@NONEED4LUCK
You and i sort of see it in the same - at least the two playoff games...hoping for close ones with the dogs staying in until the end. Good luck sir.
@Hustle2eat
There you go - wishing you all the luck....seems like TCU is a popular dog...hope you are right. Good luck.
@MoPinkie
Way to go - I like a guy who has conviction and goes with his one strong play. I always have said discipline is the key and if you don't like other games just focus on the one you like. Good luck with the Buckeyes sir.
@svac
Guess what SVAC - you are not a minority in being a mediocre gambler...I would hazard a guess that 85% of us are mediocre but it's fun. This is what i try to do - make just enough money on this side hustle so i don't have to touch my regular paycheck )) I am not looking to score big but if I can make enough where i can save my paycheck then I think i am winning...if you know what i mean. Anyhow thanks for your insight, sounds logical and good luck...enjoy the new year's eve.
@IntenseOperator
And that is just fine IntenseOperator BUT I PLACE YOU AMONG THE MEN here. You ain't afraid to step out BEFORE A GAME and make your selections. Good for you. I think i am batting like .500 this bowl season meaning i ain't winning nor losing but i sure am having a good time. Good luck to each of us...I guess you are hoping for 2 blowouts in the playoff games, i am hoping for close games. Enjoy the day of sports.

Alabama-Kansas State Both teams play very good defense, although Alabama should be the better team all around. Not sure they can cover 8 points though. I'll take KSU and the points.
TCU-Michigan TCU is a tough team, but they didn't play anyone with the same talent level as Michigan. I think Michigan will shut down TCU's offense with their elite defense and end TCU's season in ugly fashion, much like their win over OSU. Michigan covers.
Ohio State-Georgia I'm not sure Georgia can completely bottle up the OSU offense. I think it will be a close game, and Ohio State covers. As for the total, I think it's too high. We're loooking at another under play here.

You will lose all three bets BOL I'm on the other side of each. Roll the dice.[/Quote]
I think GTOWN was looking for a little more than this. He put his heart and sole into his choice, and laid it all out to see. If you are going to buck him, at least have the courtesy to tell him why.

Nice, and thanks for posting your thoughts with your selections. I like handicappers who do that - i want to hear the insight and thoughts behind the selections and all yours sounds very possible. I don't think Bama defense this year is as good in previous years but could be debatable. I love Deuce Vaughn and hope that he can sneak through some of those big Bama guys cause he ain't big LOL. Sort of agree with your assessment that TCU schedule perhaps wasn't as tough as Michigan's , I hope you are wrong though in that TCU don't get blown out...it would be a shame given how many good games they played in season. Yeah, i also lean under in this last OH ST-GA game...could be the first half is under just like last night's Orange bowl.
Enjoy the games my man.

It is ok Cooler. At least IntenseOperator came out before and gave an opinion. I do too prefer people give us some insight and thoughts behind their choices but i respect if they don't want to. I pay more closer attention (as other serious cappers) and i don't mind if you agree or disagree with me but give me some thoughts/reasons behind the decisions.
Good luck and happy new year sir.

I think Nick IS mad and will want to put a slap down on whoever it is... In this case KState. Players may not agree but we'll see.
I like TCU same as you intangibles. Never been there, hungry, us against them... All that. Harbaugh is a good coach and that team is playing well, but they're not a quick strike offense and TCU is.
I'm a Georgia homer and never thought they'd make it here, and I Always get Ohio State wrong, but in this case I think Georgia is just tougher and will beat them down over the course of 4 quarters. Ohio has the QB and good receivers but if QB is under duress this receivers don't matter much.
I bet really small so I'm not trying to impress anyone here. Just lending my thoughts.
Happy new year hope the games are good today

I'm gonna take Kentucky ML just because of SEC.
