I'm seeing a lot of people on BC in this forum and before I go onto why I like VT in this matchup I want someone defending their BC pick. Youre on the clock.....

Bib, I'll take a stab at it but you're more of an expert than I am so take it for what its worth with a grain of salt...
 
Davis looked better last game for BC after struggling when Crane went down against Wake Forest.  He isn't the greatest passer to say the least, but his decent run threat will prevent VT from blitzing often.  BC's run game will no doubt have a tough time gaining yards against VT's defense, especially with Haden listed as questionable.  Montel Harris will carry the load for BC and they will be committed to establishing a ground game, even though it will likely be a struggle.  Davis will have to throw the ball more than BC might want, but the edge in the passing game between the two teams goes to BC.  BC's defense has been playing lights out and will continue against a VT offense that has struggled all season and has been putting up fewer and fewer points the last few weeks.  I think BC wins the turnover battle and the special teams battle in this game.  VT has struggled uncharacteristlicly with special teams this year and in a game that most likely will yield few scores, field position will be very important.  BC will force turnovers and hope that they can capitalize on them.  Overall, I see the game going under 39 points and coming down to a 3-4 point game.  Something like BC 20 VT 16.
 
Like I said though, take it for what it is worth.  I just think BC is the better team right now.  No disrespect to you or VT (event though you disrespected the gators with a Bama bendi special!)

Ok, I'm not  going to lie and pretend that I know what I'm talking about.  I'm betting the house on BC and the UNDER this weekend because Randizzle and ACE-ACE.

Haha that guy was me fuego. A unit is whatever you want it to be. For some people, including myself it is $100. For others it can be $10. It is how we keep track of how much money we are making. For a weak play some people will be 1/10 of a unit. For a stronger play, they will go higher. Some people believe in never betting more than 5 units on a play. Personally, I have only gone above 5 units on 15 plays this year. So for me, when I say I am betting 5 units it simply means I'm wagering $500

Bib, I had a hunch that you were trying to catch people on BC because Randizzle was.
 
I leaned BC at -1 and held off thinking it would get to a pick.  After I locked it in for 2 units, I saw Randizzle posted his plays.  Makes me feel somewhat good except for the fact that you however are on VT, and rarely do I oppose you.  Needless to say, this will not be my biggest play of the weekend by a longshot. 
 
Was on ULL last night too .  Seems like we were the minority.
 
Hoping that Rutgers can get it done, and the same goes for UConn -16

Easy what about bc defense. Thats the key the will control the line and the sec and linebackers are ball hawks.
 
The only thing vt can do is pray that #5 can run draws aka busted plays. Vt no passing game at all #1 is the best wr and he there best db..
 
The biggest edge bc d=turnovers and coaching.
 
There coach makes great calls and look for a fake or two that always work.

Agreed

Any thoughts on the under 39?  The under first half might be a better bet as both offenses might struggle to get things going early. 

This is no doubt a very tough game to cap (as almost all VT are for me, haha).

Bibendi, I'm with you on most plays lately, including tonight.   But this one I think I will not be.   Still have not decided if I'm going to play it, and so far the Under looks like the way to go.   I'll play devil's advocate for a small fee.   OK, free for you. 

For one, BC has statistical advantages on offense.
Overall offensive stat rankings averaged:
BC #82
VT #110

I myself cannot bet BC with Dominique Davis at QB. I think Tech steals his lunch money here and gets just enough on offense to win. I see a repeat of last year, where somehow someway BC won that Thursday night contest against VT (thanks to Matt Ryan's play at the end), and then VT controlled the Title game in the rematch. That's where I come out, anyway.

BC/VT- I do like Tech,  maybe it is a little homerish, but I am a big Tech fan and even named my son Cory after Cory Moore. With that being said I think the revenge/ home field comes into play a bit. First time they played BC was giving them the game and VT never capitalized. With Crane being out, I think they can get to this qb (dont know his name) and cause a few turnovers.
