I am not, First time ever I could not get room at campus/team hotel, or at least not be sure I'd have one. I'm too old and bitter to deal with things like traffic and people. i also expect it to be a rout, and I'm already 1-7 all-time against the Tide at home. That kind of feels like enough. I might actually drive down to Charlottesville for Pitt game, but we'll lose if I do. We may well lose anyway, but my attendance would guarantee it. I believe there are exactly zero members of my regular tailgate headed to UVA, so that doesn't sound like tons of fun.

So let's be serious about this ND crap. If they get in you can toss this playoff crap out the window. get in undefeated and what play Bama and be a 27 point underdog???? The committee has to snub them this year so the arrogant pr!cks have to join a freaking conference. How can they reward a team for sitting idle while EVERYONE else in the country who is a contender for the playoff play against one another? It's total crap. Congrats to ND for running through their garbage azz schedule. You see who there SEC team was this year... and they barely beat them, barely beat ball st, the list goes on and on. I really think they will lose this week and this whole post will be for nothing, but hope their overrated a$$es go undefeated and get snubbed as they should. end rant.

I agree with this. ND knows if they lose they are more than likely done. Pressure can cause a team to play tight but I think that will come more into play against an offense like Syracuse or on the road against a USC team that everyone will tell them they will blow out.

[/Quote]I didn't really take you for a 'going out of the house' kinda guy... but I learn something new every week
Used to spend a lot of time out of the house. I made a point of making it to at least one LSU, UVa and Delaware game per year, got roped into at least one Pitt game, and tried to pick up a new college trip experience each year as well. Met some Covers folks at UDub and Northwestern. Made it to Cal, UA, UNC Army and Duke for the first times. Got rained out at IU twice. Slowed down a lot as Delaware and Virginia combined to suck for a decade. Pitt is almost always a dreadful experience, even with free luxury box. My LSU tailgate broke up after like 30 years, and this will be the first time in many, many years that I won't make a game. There is some chance I need some new, and better hobbies, or less degeneratey friends.
My comments on the Playoff are many, but I will try to keep it simple: I don't care who is in the Playoff. If that was too nuanced, I can simplify further.

A couple of early thoughts...
- Like the spot for Bama, especially 14 or under or teased below 10. I just don't see any team in the country that keeps the Bama O under 30 points (and that is being very conservative) and I don't feel like this LSU team will be able to keep pace offensively. Yes, this Bama team is not as strong as it has been defensively, but I do not feel like LSU has its traditional weapons to make Bama pay. What I mean is that is LSU had a Fournette, Guice, Ware, Hill etc, I feel like they could potentially pound the ball and keep Tua and co. off the field. Couple that with a few stops (which they will get), the crowd, and you have the potential to frustrate Bama's O. Even then, I still would project that holding them under 30 would be very difficult. As currently constructed though, without that true bellcow threat, I don't see LSU's angle here. But that's why we play the game.
- Like the O54, I feel like that is a low # see above, LSU will score some points too, this will NOT be the traditional slugfest we've been accustomed to.
- My gut says UGA -less than 10. Kirby learned from Nick how to beat up on 1 dimensional teams. UK has been fun to watch this year, but they will have a tough time Sat. Don't think the Lexington home field makes to big of a difference. UK has a mobile QB, but he has struggled mightily, and needs another year. UGA playing for style also. Will be close for a decent amount but UGA pulls away late. Like teasing it to under a FG if that option is available.
- Again, public play, but UF under a TD seems solid. Very hostile environment coming off the loss. Said before last week that UF is a good team, but are atleast 1 year early. Mullen should get them ready to go and they should move the ball. How does Mizzou get up for this massive road game after that heartbreaker? UF should move the ball on the ground, and Mizzou should leave plenty of space for UF's developing passing game.
- Kansas is usually a tough home cover, but they had a huge win against TCU last week, and should be looking towards that K. St game coming up next week. Okie state got on them pretty good in Lawrence last month. Early kickoff, so Wahoo's nightlive dog rule doesn't apply.
- Miss. st total seems very very low. Yes, they have been very bad offensively the past few weeks, but they got it together a little last week vs. A&M. Big stepdown in competition in this one as they tuneup before Bama. Spread may be a little high with the lookahead factor, but total should cruise over. La Tech will be throwing a lot in the 2nd half. 78 pts in this game last year, and lets not forget, was not that long ago that this La Tech squad scored 3 TD's against the vaunted LSU defense in Baton Rouge.
- Like Michigan at home. BIG Revenge factor, Michigan has more to play for. PSU has not played well in big games and their offense doesn't have the same it factor as last year. Not sure if I will pull the trigger here but may be a teaser candidate. Big house will be ROCKIN'
- Like the over in the Utah St. 'possibly' anything under -21, they're hot right now (does go against Wahoos nightdog rule)
- Like Fresno St. Another hot team looking to make a statement, UNLV has not been good, Fresno St. is screaming hot (again nightdog rule broken)
- Hard to stomach a USC bet, but Helton is playing for his job here, against Oregon St? Could turn into a play
- Thoughts on the option teams?
Train, Hoo, and anyone else with some good discussion points, sound off! Let's make some solid plays

Don't sleep on Penn State here, last year UM looked like they didn't belong on the same field. Im riding with James.

Bama is a different animal though. Can't look at them the way you look at the rest of the world.

I hear ya Wahoo about ND I just live in the heart of ND country and the fact that they haven't joined a conf, burns my azz to no end. I know I'm a SEC homer and you can't just throw Clemson and 3 sec teams in there every year but would love to see Wazzu if they win out over them, or Oklahoma over them. woosah... woosah, lol!
What do you guys make of the MD deal now that they fired Durkin? come out charged up because they got what they want with him gone?
Really like LaTech catching 24 with Miss st having Bama on deck, Miss st can't move the ball, and LaTech isn't awful. can put some points up.
