They gave up 40+ points @ HOME to Ole Miss who got smacked by Memphis and barely beat Tennessee.... who is what??? a Average team.

When you have to go out of conference you get bich smacked  look at the bowl season last year as the greatest touted division in the history of football got bich smacked all over the fields they played on. That my friend is a FACT.... Deal with it

I wouldn't have Alabama in the top 4 either but Vegas would have Bama favored over every team in the country

It appears you're confused on the definition of the word "fact."  You make subjective statements, capitalize the word "fact" and then use a light bulb to try and force them on people.  On top of that, you constantly bring up past seasons' results whenever convenient, yet criticize those when they make a similar reference.  I could care less about conference vs. conference arguments, but it is amusing how hypocritical you are when it comes to them.  Similar to my prior statement, you talk down to those who support their conference as a whole, but continue to group them together yourself with your "Anti-SEC" rhetoric to bash 14 programs at one time.

The SEC was 7-5 in bowls last season, and 2-1 versus the ACC.

The ACC was 4-7 in bowls last season, the 2nd worst winning percentage of the Power 5 conferences.


Using these figures, one can conclude that the SEC actually fared well, while the ACC was the one that "got bich smacked all over the fields they played on."

it never gets old

the good thing is now that we have the playoff you'll see no SEC teams winning titles for a while, no more favorable matchups, have to beat 2 teams and earn in it on the field

they are 0-1 in this new system and likely will be 0-2 soon 


best of luck Boom, bounce back this week and quit getting distracted from winning by responding to people regarding the SEC, it won't ever change bro, just put your picks down, show them how to win, they can say all they want about you but they can't say you can't cap football games

If that's the case, his statement holds merit, but isn't factual.  Doesn't mean teams weren't good because they lost a bowl game. It still uses opinions to form conclusions.  And the first paragraph accurately describes how he approaches everything.....facts are measurable.  "Alabama gets a pass on just about everything"....is NOT a factual statement.  I couldn't care less about any conference or it's perception.....but the insecurity here is unreal.  

Never do these threads actually discuss X's and O's or anything in depth about a game.  It's a bunch of penis-envy back and forth from people trying to thump their chest harder than the other.  Which is exactly why they're so entertaining.

Not like pointing any of this out matters....it'll just fuel the insanity more.

I usually put in serious time on only a few games per week I just do not have the time. And the one thing I do not do is look at the past. Too many people are looking at LSU's dismal numbers when a dog of this number etc. This game is this game. The one and only time these players will face each other. That being said: 

The weather is not suppose to be great this Saturday . Rain and in the high 40's . When I broke down Brandon Harris I see a quarterback that is in the very bottom of in the conference of both completion % and yards. Some say it due to the stout running game. While that may be true it would be nice to know if needed he can deliver. And I just do not see it. Alabama on the other hand must eliminate the turnovers on special teams. Its been their true weakness aside from a quarterback who can deliver on 3rd and long. the last 2 years. If they turn the ball over they will loose again. I think Bama's defense and the weather will keep Fournette to 85-110 yards which is a actually a victory and a key to this game. Force LSU into 3rd and long and let the DB's who have been a huge surprise do their job. Final Score Alabama 23  LSU 16

It's easy to get sucked into the "who's the better conference" debate, and once you're in, you're stuck.  I try to stay away.  Doesn't really serve any productive purpose other than to argue and bash and DEFINITELY doesn't help you pick winners ATS.

let's dig a little deeper here shall we.....

The East done well in bowl season.....but one problem. They got swept by the ACC the last week of the season...so there is that.

and the whole argument was about the " greatest division in the history of sports "..... and they failed miserably flat on there faces. Getting SMACKED in the mouth...and I do mean SMACKED.

But see....all this means nothing to me because my team is Clemson. I dont associate myself with the 13 other teams from our league.

Oh, but people like you sure do associate themselves with all the schools in the SEC.

pssssss..... hey bro, let me tell ya a little secret. Lean in a little close so you dont get embarrassed.....that inbred way of thinking is silly.....and everybody is laughing at you, not with you.

What do you think of the Navy/Mem O65ish? I'm liking the over as Lynch should have a field day throwing the ball on the undersized and slow navy secondary....but the Tigers are gonna have tons of trouble keeping Navy from gaining 5-8 yards per rush....

you know man... I like that Navy defense. I think they are always in the right spots and seem to play above their talent.... Over? Maybe.

Im thinking Navy might win this  31-27?

They are just so small. This is the time of the year were injuries and things really hurt the team. Nobody has stopped Memphis all year, and I dont think Navy can either as they simply dont have the talent & size combo....I'm seeing a shootout....45-38 style.....

yeah...Memphis has been great...so it wouldn't surprise me. Heck, Memphis is a good team...just ask Ole Miss. Oh wait...

Mr Boom,

Curious to your thoughts on the Baylor game last evening ?I think that kid will be special at Quarterback. He made professional throws down the hashes, has NFL arm strength. What I also saw as an ex d coordinator is a very predictable offense. Perhaps they dialed the playbook down a bit to relieve some pressure on the young QB ? But that offense can be stopped as Kansas State figured it out in the 2nd half. Drop a safety to play between the hashes it seems they throw middle of the field 70% of the time. Coleman will beat anyone in the country let him have his 7/150/1 stat line. But I did see some holes last evening...... Thoughts ? and good Luck this weekend sir
