I like your attitude though ... you'll turn it around ... DP
I don't want to hijack or argue in Wahoos thread. I probably should have left that sentence out of my reply but I guess I have been seeing so many people attempt to claim Air Force as the correct side that I felt compelled to set the record straight. Midweek it was a probable that Jefferson was not going to be playing in the game at home to SDSU. If he was to play , it was known that he was going to get minimal snaps unless the game was in question. They wanted his ankle to heal for the big game against NAVY this week. So you were then left with backing Air Force as a 17 point favorite with atleast a good portion of the game being played by the backup QB. You have a SDSU offense that is perfect for backdoor covers as well.
SDSU converted a hail mary on the last play of the game. That part of the game/bet was certainly a bad beat. However, those bemoaning that fact are forgetting the entirety of the game.
--SDSU had 6 turnovers to air force 0 turnovers , including two that were returned for TD.
-Air Force backers backed a team that was laying 17 and scored 12 offensive points. Air Force backers were backing a team that was laying 17 points and did not score an offensive TD
-Air Force was a 17 point favorite who was held to under 300 yards of total offense , 51 yards passing and just 4.2 yards per carry.
-Air Force was a 17 point favorite who was outgained by SDSU.
-Air Force was a 17 point favorite who was out first downed by SDSU
-Prior to the bad beat on the hail mary , SDSU backers had a game covering extra point blocked.
- I am sorry to tell you but a 17 point favorite that is held to under 300 yards of offense , 12 first downs , kept out of the endzone by the opposing defense and held to 12 offensive points is not a good bet.
Wahoos is one of the best cappers on the entire internet and while I am sure he is upset at the bad beat , I am also sure that he would be the first to tell you that air force was the wrong side. It simply isn't really debatable in the context of that game. Crying about the hail mary is forgettng about 6 turnovers and a blocked extra point prior to that.
Sorry for having even brought the game up in the first place but you guys need to look at games in their entirety and not just focus on the last play of the game. What makes Wahoo a great handicapper is his ability to do just that. Put the hail mary in context.
Good luck this week wahoo , look forward to your thoughts on this weeks games.

It was a bad beat but it was the wrong side.
I watched every single play of the game and if you think Air Force was the right side in this game at 16.5 - 17.5 , you need to go back to handicapping school , sorry. I even forgot to mention the extra few seconds the clock manager gave air force at the end of the first half to leave 1 second on the clock for a fg , which they made. Here is Phil Steele's blurb on the game.
San Diego St deserved much better vs Air Force but ended up needing a 40 yd Hail Mary pass with no time left on the clock. The Aztecs had 16-12 FD and 423-293 yd edges. During the game they had an amazing 6 TO’s, 2 of which were returned for TD’s. AF got a 47 yd FR TD and 47 yd IR TD. An int set up a 9 yd drive for a 49 yd FG and the Aztecs trailed 13-2 when they missed a 54 yd FG then had the ball with 3:00 left in the1H but were int and AF got a 20 yd FG just before half thanks to a friendly clock operator who left :01 on the board after a play. With 3:26 left SDSt got a TD and opted to go for 1, although 1 pt would have made it a two score game but they bobbled the snap on the xp and missed it.
You can bury your head in the sand and claim it was the right side but until you are willing to look at the game objectively and make the proper determination , you are going to have issues in the sports betting game.
Air Force was a 17 point favorite that did not score an offensive td and not because of any flukes ,,,, they failed to score td's because the sdsu defense ( led by rocky long who has given the air force attack many a problem in the past ) shut their butts down. Just can't fathom the idea that anyone could have watched that game and come away with the conclusion that in the same circumstance they would bet the air force side again. SDSU had nightmarish luck for 59+ minutes and still covered.
