I have seen alot of things in my life and I have been very fortunate in my life, however, this has been a tough week. I haven't every witnessed someone going 0-11 in one day, much less ever went through anything like that. I made some very poor picks and had some bad luck on some. The reason I have been so successful with betting in the past is because I have always been able to adapt regardless of the situation. I was excited going into this past week because I had gone 2-4 for two consecutive weeks and just knew I would bounce back and win. Little did I know the worst weekend of my gambling life was ahead. When Saturday began I started off poorly of course but was okay mentally as I followed the Air Force game, I felt great about that play for the entire game and knew it was going to win, when the bottom fell out and the Aztecs got the miracle cover I was mad for about an hour. Then I started losing everything in sight and was no longer mad. I was now shocked. Anyhow, I had today to reflect on things and I could either hang it up for the season and just wait until next year or I could just pretend it didn't happen and start fresh with a new attitude and try to chip away at my early season losses. I chose to keep going, probably because I have never failed at anything I decided to do and probably because I just think I can adapt to the lines and win. Maybe I will turn out to be the best fade on the website (like I have been lately- Joe Bren like) or maybe I will start winning this week and just keep on winning. I think I will be fine and start winning this week and get on a run. Enough of my lousy weekend of betting story, now to football
Random Thoughts Regarding this Past Weekend Games
Did Cal know they had a game in Autzen? Was that a Cal Fraternity that suited up in the real player's uniforms? I don't know what happened there and I'm not surprised Oregon won but to know even show up is inexcusable if you are a Bears Fan
Oregon finally looked like Oregon and erupted with that explosive offense that I'm used to seeing, if they continue to play that way they will be tough the rest of the year within the conference
Florida showed that they can play good defensively on the road in conference play and still dominate a decent conference opponent, I'm not a big Gator Fan but I do like Tebow and think he is what a college athlete should be. I hope his injury turns out okay and he recovers quickly
Alabama could very well be the best team in the country with Florida, Saban just keeps on winning and I keep walking away impressed with this team, they could give the Gators a run for their money if they played right now and could probably have a great chance to beat them
Feel bad for the Baylor QB, he is a great player to watch as well and has been declared out for the season, that is too bad, they will be terrible without him
Houston got another nice victory over a Big12 team, they aren't quite as good as their ranking now, but that was a nice win for the program and they should win Conference if their defense shapes up
Miami is not back like we all kept hearing, I know the weather was helpful to Va Tech but that doesn't explain a complete blowout, they need to go back to the drawing board this week because the Sooners are coming to town and Bradford will probably play
Utep is a worse football team than I am a handicapper and that is bad, I felt sorry for their kids playing Texas and glad I decided to quit laying chalk with Texas since they beat the Miners by 212 points, I'm an idiot
Juice Williams is very very bad and Ron Zook is the worst coach in the Big10 despite being the nicest guy on planet earth, they both gotta go
Ole Miss and Jevan Snead both vastly overrated, I realize Jevan has nice size and a good arm, but is that all it takes to be a real prospect these days? Who on earth wants that guy in the NFL? No wonder 20 of the teams in the NFL have bad QB's
Fresno St showed alot of heart playing a tough game with a good Cincy team, the Bearcats weren't very focused which is understandable coming off a long road trip and playing against a Fresno team that just got drilled by Boise on National TV, I really feel sorry for Miami Oh this weekend though, Cincy might be them by 60 points
I really bet on Cox and UGA this past week, I should be shot laying two touchdowns with that team, I love Mark Richt and I like UGA's program but Cox needs serious improvement
LSU & Miss St was a great game, do you get that feeling that Les Miles is pulling off another miracle season winning games he should be losing? How did LSU win that game? the Tigers are talented but they aren't a top 5 team yet even though they will probably be ranked their this week, they do find a way to win though and that is what really counts in the end
TCU got a nice win at Clemson in what was a nice defensive matchup, not a thrilling game to watch but it was very competitive and TCU needed that win to make their BCS run
Pittsburgh was up 17 points over NC State before rolling over and playing dead to NC State, still in shock that play lost, just another wonderful loser I had this weekend, I hate Dave and Pitt, not really, but I don't like them much
too tired to keep typing, plays coming tommorrow, needed another night to reflect and relax, will start the grind again tommorrow, as always, best of luck
