Going 9-9 this past week. It kind of reminds ya of one of those weeks that you never seem to really get going. But it is what it is and now it's time for us to shift our focus onto week 5. Week 5 already? Seriously?
Ten Things We Learned
1. You guys know where I'm going with this first topic. Addition by subtraction. The worst QB in the country is now out for the year, Jeff Driskel. When I seen that go down yesterday I thought to myself, Florida just hit the lottery. Of course the Florida coaching staff was too dumb to realize that this clown was horrible but now they get the benefits of him being out for the season. Florida fans, congrats and I mean that. You have just moved up a notch in my book. You have went from the worst offense I have seen in 20 years to maybe the only the 100th ranked offense in the country. Trust me, that's a BIG improvement.
2. Two games yesterday that I thought for sure they were going one way. But as football shows us at times, we can be proven wrong in a heartbeat. UNC / GT I thought for sure was a UNC cover. I mean these guys had the game covered the entire game and G.T somehow figured away to not only win, but cover. Heart breaker! Marshall / VT I thought for sure Marshall had the game covered and they did for almost the entire game. But again, you can be proven wrong at any time. The point is, don't count your chickens before the hatch ( a little southern slang for you yanks ). I see time and time again in this forum people either celebrating wins or losses in the first quarter. Stop people, and think!
3. Should there really be a QB controversy for Ohio St? No and HELL No. Stop with the BS people. I could throw 6 TD's against Florida A&M. Braxton is the guy and will be the guy when he is healthy. He brings a much better threat running the ball and has improved IMO his passing. Trust me, everyone loves the backup QB.....when he is playing NObodyGivesAfuk university.
4. I think this past week college football shows us, as it does every year, teams will NOT bring their "A" game to every game. Clemson, Alabama, Michigan and Georgia. All 4 among the best in the country showed up and played the " D " game. In this sport, you have to bring it every week. There are too many Appalachian ST now in the world. Teams can beat you if you if you think the game "owes" you something. This game owes you nothing! Every week is battle and team and players should understand this. RESPECT your opponent.
5. How about Maryland? I warned about this team prior to the season and said this is the team everyone should watch out for. Guys I telling you! C.J Brown, Diggs and Long are 3 dynamic play makers. Maryland is a real legit team. 2 teams in the ACC that better recognize this is FSU and Clemson. As a matter of fact, I think Clemson may go down to Maryland. That game is played after the big showdown with FSU and it's ON THE ROAD. Never forget how important playing on the road is in this sport. Playing on the road is the " great equalizer " in this sport.
6. Arkansas is a team that I have always loved to follow closely. Don't know why? But nevertheless, I have always loved me some razorback football. But! This has all changed since Brett has taken over the program. I seen his wife make a Tweet last week after the Wisconsin / ASU disaster. She wrote to the Badgers fans....#karma. What? What are you talking about you ( crazy smoking hot chick that has no business with that cross-eyed clown ) ? Damn that chick is hot too. Anyways. What were talking about again?
7. Baylor is stupid on offense. What the F*ck? I know they could have scored 100 yesterday if they wanted too. I know alot of people are talking about Art leaving Baylor to go to Texas. I dont think so, I think Art is building something in Waco and it might already be here. To think this offense would be better after RG3 left? But it is! This offense is one word..... Stupid Good.
8. Did mac save his job? No is the short answer for you Texas fans. Snyder could coach circles around Mac anyday of the week but sometimes talent will just " Will your way to a win " sometimes. Kansas st, as much as I love em.... Is not very talented this year and believe or not cant beat Texas. That says alot too. Texas is a bad football team right now. My goodness, I can only imagine what Baylor is going to do to them. 1000yds of offense?
9. I have said it 100 times I know. But Lame Kiffen has to go. This USC team is an absolute embarrassment to great historic tradition known as USC football. You mean to tell me these guys cant develop some of the best talent in the country at the QB position? Kind of reminds of another team that gets top talent and can't develop a QB. The defense is better, but this offense is an absolute joke. I seen these guys start 4 or 5 possessions yesterday on there opponents 40 or better and come away with ZERO points. Perfect coaching fit for USC if you ask me......Anyone else.
10. Clowns, Clowns everywhere clowns. Covers.com has Clowns that lurk around. Here is your scenario.... either people truly have no life or " coolers " are here to troll. I think both. Trolls are here in this forum like I have never seen before. It really is comical. They will post in all of our threads. What can you do? Laugh. I got a few trolls that I like to call " im here to stay trolls " every week. I'm not sure what there trying to accomplish but, whatever....LOL. Hey guys, enjoy the season. Don't let the trolls bother you.....and remember......The Best is Yet To Come
