When looking at this Texas/OU game you can find angles to be on either but the one side I can't get past is how much better OU's play-calling is and will be than Texas play-calling on offense.

Sooners converting 3rd downs at 55% while Texas converts at 41%. 

Avg YPP: 8.9 for OU / 5.3 for Texas.

Redzone TD%: OU 68% / Texas 33%.

Sooners start fast, 80 points scored so far in 1st quarter compared to Texas' 38. 

 

Horns inability to have the offense ready to go early in games is a big worry for me in this game as I think Texas will have to run the ball successfully and control the clock to limit OU's possessions. Herman thrives in this underdog role but I think the Horns will struggle to get pressure without bringing numbers and Kyler Murray is a talented player with the ability to create with his feet and find the bust in the coverage that Texas can be susceptible to with such aggressive CB's. 

In my opinion next year is Texas' potential tide-turning season where they either take a step into the national spotlight (9+ wins) or they sputter and you really start to see the legitimate questioning of whether or not Tom Herman can really turn this program around. Feels like people are viewing this season as that but Herman only has a Freshman group of kids that he has recruited to Texas. Year 3 is big in my book for new coaches at any program, Kids are either buying in and executing or they don't bring the effort every week and make the same undisciplined mistakes they made year one.

Bc good offense but best weapon questionable as of yesterday, haven’t looked for update today but know I saw him gobble off the field vs Temple so no way he’s 100% 

I like the Pack ok but I was looking to take bc as the dog with healthy Dillon because I was picturing a back & forth 

I’m leaning Over (ish) the 59, weather appears to be ok come Saturday 

I don’t like either coach much so actually trusting a side is tough, my metrics have fair line of 2.5, currently 5.5

We will see, I need to check on Dillon though & my opinion may be better

Good Qb? Not exactly how I’d describe him
Reliable offense?  Not really 
Good defense ? Not vs Maryland, ok vs Tulsa , good vs usc 

Can they upset OU?  Sure, it’s a rivalry & it’s possible as OU can make other offenses appear better than they are like Baylor last week, that happens when you play fast & score fast

Miss St ran all over KState, West Virg crushed them,  Texas avg 3.8 yds per carry on them & only mustered 330 yds of offense 

I don’t think either side is a great play here, just wondering how you can be so confident in that team to dare someone?  Help a brother out LH

I could only consider GT though if looking at a side, I liked Louisville last week because FSU had Miami on deck & play undisciplined enough for Louey to score some but they somehow lost that game (did cover though)

Both teams 1-4 ATS me thinks 

This ville offense has been treacherous , avg like 18 per game & 300 yds (around there, just winging it here)

 (May be a good idea to watch a movie during this one)

Khabib is 26-0 & never lost a round in a fight or training 

Conor said “he’s never lost because he’s never fought me”, nobody has ever had more self belief than Conor, it’s insane how confident he is, he said after he wins he may fight Woodley , haha, Woodley is so much bigger than him & would probably maul him but Conor will truly fight any human being 

that kind of mindset is very rare

he does crazy stuff to promote his fights & some of it is almost uncomfortable but you can’t argue with results 

Dude was broke on welfare 5.5 years ago & now he’s one of the biggest sports stars on the planet & worth 200 mill (& that is steady rising as his new deal is basically 45 mill per fight plus his whiskey logo in the Octagon, he’s basically a partner of the ufc now)

hope he wins, has to land fast to make Khabib hesitant, otherwise khabib’s boring style will exhaust him, he should be illegal to wrestle & lay on someone for 3-5 rounds, that’s why nobody buys Khabib’s fights despite the fact he’s never lost & has an entire nation behind him

may the Irish be victorious once again

let me be clear to everyone in this thread. WahooS did not make this pick, I did all on my own. :) 
I know that’s scary, but I like to live dangerous 

Here it is... I feel so confident on this one, I am already counting it a winner. So many people against this guy it’s crazy. After he’s proven time and time again he can flip the lights out of a soul in a split second. Now, every Tom person and Harry wants to call the “upset” of the king? Are you fukin kidding me? 

Connor “Da King” McGregor +137  

Under 2.5 -130 (if you don’t have the stomach)

If you wanna beat The King, you will have to out box him. Look to what Nate Diaz did. Mixed up on him and Nate has a steel jaw.. also Nate’s reach was a problem! 

Khabib is the best wrestler in the game! Dominant ground and pound for sure. I’d be more worried if he was a submission seeker. But he wants to G&P and get his points from take downs. Also, he hasn’t fought a live fighter yet. Nobody that could really harm him. Or more importantly, that HE FELT could harm him. He KNOWS Connor can harm him! And the last thing he wants is to get KOd by this loud mouth Irish champ. Connor already got in his head at the PC, and now he has Khabib where he’s had every fighter, emotional and on edge. It will take a lot more work for Khabib to win this fight than Connor. CM only needs 1 punch, that he will get in the 1st or 2nd round, when Khabib is shooting for a take down. 

Like Joe Rohan said once “These fighters don’t know how lethal that Left hand is from Connor, until they’re in the octagon and he clips em with one.. then their eyes get big and you see their game plan has no changed and they’re scared”...  when Connor cracks Khabib with a shot, he will panic and make a mistake. Then, lights out... connors distance control is the best in the game. He can KO em from any angle! He doesn’t wanna go the distance with Khabib, so he will use the 1st round to measure, then the 2nd round to cut.. 

There’s no pressure on Connor in this fight. He wins, great! He loses, it’s ok, he’s still the top MMA draw and will demand big $$ fight. Hopefully we can get a Nate / Connor trilogy either way :)


Idk if anyone ITT likes MMA, or cares about this post. But this is gonna be a helluva fight! Khabib is a monster, but IMO, Connor will win this fight by KO!

I cant wait for this fight................I have Khabib -160.............I think he will take the fight to the ground where he is an animal.

The only way Conor takes it is if he scores a KO early............His cardio kinda sucks and will be dead tired halfway through like he was with his Diaz fight..........................Cant fukin wait.
