I would be neither...Clemson v. Auburn is a toss up...If LSU you can pass, which I think they may, then they should handle Wisc and cover, but that's a big if...of the two I like LSU better...

Longhorn first "Hook Em" 2nd why in the world do you think Auburn is a toss up to beat Clemson? I see Clemson having better running game, better passing game, and fairly equal defense.

you need to dig deeper...Clemson is overhyped. with only 4 starters on D. That Clemson D will be good, but in week 1, in a hostile environment, especially if Auburn finds a QB. forget about the Oklahoma game last season, look how Clemson did against mediocre teams...they finished well, I admit, Watson is legit...But they are going against SEC talent, elite SEC talent...They don't have a significant if any talent advantage (reference scout.com recruiting rankings for the last 4 years, there is no difference, granted, those can be flawed, and you can't only cap a game base on those rankings, but from my perspective, it shows no differentiation in base talent evaluation). Steele caps it at 8...I certainly won't be wagering on Auburn, so it is a no play for me. Throw in the fact that Malzahn is on the hot seat...He needs a signature non conference win...As I mentioned on another string, like you, I liked Clemson a month ago...then I started digging deeper...Clemson will probably win...I just will have no dogg in the fight...

speaking of hype...what do you think about Tenn v App St. As much as Tenn appears prima facie over hyped, I cap this game as a complete mismatch...motivation, expectations, coaching, and talent...the only major concern I have with regard Tenn is 2 new coordinators. both will help Tenn improve during the season, but in Game 1, especially the offense, not sure if the machine will be clicking on all cylinders...will appreciate your perspective.

My apologies for the typo" The LSU was 9.5 so my wager is at -2.5 integrity is important as I see a lot of people posting lines that are not even possible.. My apologies I just saw this today
So its
Clemson -.05
LSU -2.5
I think Watson in the end will figure out a way to win and LSU is loaded on Defense.
Teasers are like ML parlays in baseball all look great until the games are played. I would also feel comfortable asking Oklahoma or Georgia in a tease .. My next door neighbors kid is the starting QB for Vandy who would have thought last year they would be favorite opening weekend
Should never tease through the zero but I think Georgia gets it done as well.. Now we all know at least one of these thoughts are 100% wrong

Wow Clemson is overhyped? Well maybe they are , but they can be a bit overhyped and still be a heck of a lot better team than Auburn. Have not really seen anyone answer how Auburn improves much on that dreadful pass offense from last season?

The one thing that is true is the following: We all probably know the game more then the average guy but there is a team not currently in the pre season top 10-15 that will most likely be in the playoff .. Anyone want to toss a team out there ?

Louisville had no impressive wins last year, I guess you could say beating A&M in the bowl game. Yes they played pretty well in their losses, yes the return a ton of starters and a talented qb. The qb averaged 7.5 per attempt which is not that good for a so called star "qb" however his rushing is a serious threat. The schedule is soft but I see them losing a game besides FSU and Clemson.

I hate to wimp out on this, but I think the rankings on the magazines and online that I have seen have done a good job ranking the top teams. I look more for matchup edges and lower tier teams for hopeful gambling edges.

I am a Big 12 fan and as such rank Baylor a fascinating story this year. (Lay the 47.5 in the week 1 game). Its college football though and honestly I find pretty much every team interesting. Washington, Tn, Alabama, Nebraska, Northwestern, Temple, Miami, Texas, tons of teams with intrigue.

Very positive talk from David Shaw on 2 of his new O-line man. Also very positive on the 2nd Rb Bryce Love who had 29-226 7.6 avg last season. The most positive note was saying Soloman Thomas DE would be a breakout player nationally this year.

For me I think this game has been completely overlooked for no good reason. Expectations will be high, Tenn will come out fired up and regardless of 2 new coordinators they return 17 starters and 57 letterman. Shoop is an experienced and talented DC, he is not implementing an entire new system I don't think there will be big enough bumps for App at to make this a game. The sun belt went 4-13 ATP against power 5 conferences. There is a huge gap in talent here...we're talking about a top offense and defense who is an sec contender against a sun belt school. Vols 8-0 all time against SBC schools with an average of 30ppg victories. App st 5 straight opening road losses by 35ppg or more. I like Tenn heavily here.

Another absolute steal is Penn State -19 at home against Kent State. Kent State's offense is just absolutely horrible and have not scored in 11 straight quarters coming into the game. They lost 34-0 last time they came here and Penn State has gotten better on both sides since 2013. Penn States D is stacked with LB's and bring back a decent secondary. Only big ? is dline. On the offensive side, Penn State will be trying out there new uptempo fast paced offense. They will run it down the throat of Kent state who will be gassed by the second quarter because of quick offensive 3 and outs. This is the first year we get to see the system Franklin has been wanting to run in effect, he has all his guys and has Sackenburg outta there. Deeper into the game, Penn State's depth at all positions will be extremely key, they have 3-4 formidable forces in the backfield as well as a plethora of playmaking WRs. Expect to see a 45-7 blow out.
