3 Virginia -3 vs Pitt.  Virginia has payback on theirs minds.  Both teams have to fill holes on offense, Pitt may take little more time with the new system.  However it is Virginia's defense that leans me towards the advantage, as well as the qb position.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: ALABAMA over CLEMSON . These 2 teams just reload. Clemson lost so much production from possibly the best college defensive line ever and of course there is always the Heisman curse.

BEAT BET WEEK 1 MEMPHIS -6 over OLE MISS. The home team has gone 6-1 against the spread. This could be Memphis' most crucial game until they visit Houston week 11. QB Brady White returns with a new offensive coordinator from Texas Tech. More importantly the Tigers have fired Marshall's great defensive coordinator Adam Fuller who gets a ton of returning talent in almost all the top tacklers. OLE MISS on the other hand is more like OLE MESS. They return very little on the offensive side of the ball and will be lucky to win more than 2 league games.

The weak secondary of Nevada will not be able to handle the receiving core of Purdue. Purdue just has to many offensive weapons for Nevada to handle.

3] 193 SMU +3.0 @ Arkansas State - As Bookie Assassin says himself - Sonny Dykes can coach. Dykes has an experienced QB who transferred from Texas. And Arkansas State, while very well coached, goes from a stud QB to a QB squad that has attempted 53 total career passes.

UNC may be able to keep it with a TD in the first half, but South Carolina will pull away in the second half and grind the Tarheels down and the Gamecock defense will keep them in check. Gamcocks win by 10 plus

3 - Under 63.5 Wake/Utah st - utah st lost virtually everything on offense (top RB to NFL, TE to NFL, three WR's were seniors, FOUR OL to be replaced) but they retain a very good QB in Jordan Love. Similarly the Deacons replace three interior lineman and lost their all everything on offense in Dorch. I think these two teams are simply trying to replace too much production on the offensive side of the ball. Game total probably falls around 28-21 for either team.
