2014 CFB Record: 4-1 (by far, my best capped sport this year)
Indiana at Ohio State 12pm EST
I have to convince you to lay 5 TD's in a game. Keep reading. I will.
Strangely enough, I've been following Indiana all year. Why? Because they were playing a game against Rutgers last week I knew Rutgers would win, but wasn't sure by how much.
So I know Indiana inside and out and I detailed what I thought of them in last week's thread vs. Rutgers. I won't re-write everything here but you can read it if you'd like.

Folks, Rutgers is a bad football team. They shouldn't be going anywhere near a bowl but will be.
The bowl clinching win was precisely the reason I backed Rutgers heavily last week at home vs. Indiana.
Rutgers is bad. Indiana is worse...far worse.
I want you to understand something. Rutgers was playing to get into a 'nothing' bowl and beat Indiana by 22 point putting up 45 points on them.
Rutgers putting up 45 points on anyone is downright shocking. They are an incomplete team who beats up on the bottom of the barrel teams (having beaten only Michigan at home in their lowest of lows with the concussed QB scandal looming), and they get destroyed by the cream of the crop in the Big Ten.
How bad do they get destroyed?
Vs. Wisconsin - 37-0 loss (at home)
Vs. Nebraska - 42-24 loss
Vs. OSU - 56-17 loss (at OSU)
That last one is the one that should catch your eye. I don't want to play "the team that beat the team will beat this team" but really, Rutgers lost by 39 at OSU and put up 45 on Indiana.
What do you think OSU is going to do to them?
I'll tell you.
Rip them limb from limb.
Rutgers, a team that was playing for the Spicy Guacamole Bowl is now replaced by OSU, who has every single motivation in the world to crush the worst team in the Big 10 by at least 50 to get into the most prestigious bowl of all.
Better, they are just on the outside looking in ranking 7th and they know the teams above them have a loss or two waiting before the season ends so OSU can sneak into the top 4.
You think Urban Meyer is looking ahead when he has a patsy on deck at home with the Big 10 Championship and a perfect conference record on the line to put on his resume for a playoff to compete in the national championship?
Hell no.
This is going to be a bloodbath.
Let me tell you about the disparities between the two starting QB's.
Indiana's starter Zander Diamont is a FIFTH STRING QB (listed as a third string but two QB's ahead of him transferred).
He threw for 282 yards, 1 TD and 3 Ints with a 46.9% completion percentage...IN FOUR STARTS.
This kid is 175 pounds and looks like he belongs on a men's nudy magazine, not on a football field.
Yes, folks. This kid will be behind center for you against OSU as they fight for a national championship.

He's 175 pounds soaking wet in a one of those sumo wrestler suits.
So bad is he, listen to this:
Since Zander Diamont replaced Nate Sudfeld 4 games ago he's thrown for 38 completions.
Since JT Barrett replaced Braxton Miller, he's thrown for 38...
TOUCHDOWNS
(yes, in more games...but STILL!)
Diamont has ONE TD throw in 4 starts.
So they can't throw the ball and when OSU blitzes him, WATCH OUT. He will crumble like he's made of legos.
So who's left?
Tevin Coleman. He's only the second rushing leader in the nation. And he's tremendous. He's the ONLY reason this line is not closer to 42.
He rushed for over 300 yards last week against Rutgers.
Impressive no?
Well they still lost by 23! Indiana's D is lacking, to say the least. Now they face OSU.
He can break big runs folks. That will be THE ONLY WAY INDIANA scores. He will not grind down this OSU line on 12 play drives and they can't throw the ball otherwise.
I can see OSU doing nothing but putting 9 in the box every play and stuffing him. And the 9 in the box are premier players, not Rutgers scrap heap players. He'll get his 100 and even 125 but as long as he doesn't break a big run, I don't see how Indiana scores.
And if they don't score, how will they cover this spread of 34.5??
They are 91st in the nation in scoring at 25.1 ppg (an average bolstered last week vs. awful Rutgers).
They are 106th allowing 33.6 ppg.
Combine that with OSU who is averaging 45 ppg!
And look at what OSU has done to these weak bottom feeders like Indiana:
66-0 vs. Kent State
56-17 vs. Rutgers
55-14 vs. Illinois
Put up 50 on Cincy in a 50-28 route
All those games? Came at home.
They really turn it on at home folks and boy do they kick a** when they get the chance to be the bully.
At best Indiana scores 14. If they do? OSU needs about 50 to cover.
They've scored 50 in every home game this year except one:
that standout loss to Virginia Tech.
Since that time? They've arguably been one of the best teams in the nation.
Indiana? Has been atrocious since Diamont has been behind center.
So you only have Tevin Coleman and some breakaway runs to get within 5 TD's at OSU with a National Championship playoff spot on the line.
OSU will look to kill them in every way possible.
The first and almost certainly only time we do this folks. We get the line at a shade under 35 on 5Dimes at 34.5.
We lay the number.
3.5 stars
THE PICK:
OHIO STATE -34.5 OVER INDIANA
