OK so Pitt had Dion Lewis go for 23-111(4.82) and Graham go 11-88(8.0), Cincy had Collaros go 10-132(13.2) and Pead 12-58(4.9)...Syracuse had Carter 13-43(3.3) and would have been more if he didnt just drop the ball in the open field. The only game they had real success stopping the run was against FSU and that is b/c FSU didnt try to run the ball. Now in steps Devine who averages 6.7 yards/carry. Why should they stop him in this spot? Are you banking on USF just being more pumped up than usual? They are about to go on their usual mid-season plunge and you want to be on board for that?!
I agree 100% on all of your points. I too have seen this USF movie before, and know how it ends. West Virginia has alot to play for, with things all knotted up at the top of the Big East. They have USF and Louisville on their schedule, before two huge games against Cincinatti and Pitt. I'm not sure that they can win the Big east, but I can't see them coming out flat, when they have a chance to control their own destiny for the big east. Noel Devine is a monster, and I really don't like what I see out of BJ Daniels. Hes tough as hell to sack, but he really isn't a quarterback. In a big game, at home, i think this may actually hurt USF. Daniels has a tendency to try and do too much, and this will likely lead to miscues as the game goes on. Big sacks for loss, forced throws, holding calls. I just don't trust this kid

He does try to do way too much. Heres what I meant by playing within himself. If he doesn't try to do to much, like going crazy and actually getting rid of the ball when flushed sometimes. He didn't do that at all against Cincy, neither did Tyrod. I can't stand it when a QB doesn't throw the ball away. Irritates the shit out of, Clausen does a great job at that in my opinion. Had to sneak an ND comment in there sometime. Anyhow. Another thing is wait for opportunities to do things, he literally thinks I think that he can make a play every play, which is just not the case.
I was wanting to put a fist through my TV last night watching Tyrod Taylor. How can you scramble around for 5 seconds, get towards the sideline and then cut it back towards the middle and eat a sack? Your 10 yards out of the pocket, throw the ball away! I have a feeling daniels is going to try to do too much. Playing in a big game infront of the home crowd is a liability for USF because of this. Hes going to try and do too much. If he can keep his composure and actually play like a Quarterback, USF will have a good shot. I have a feeling hes going to drop back, and then look like hes returning a punt, rather than staying composed.

How could s. fla. cover this game? Turnovers!! west virginia is a turnover machine..with the turnovers, the hot weather, and some talent and of course some motivation s fla. could win this game no doubt. I can see them coming playing hard cause they need this game. west virginia sucks as a road favorite

Love the write up Bib...anyone looking to bet this game should read this because this is spot on. For the most part, SoFla will have a difficult time with BJ Daniels taking advantage of WVU weak pass D, hence, leaving them one diminsional against a great run Defense. BOL bib

Bibs nice hit with the under last night, unfortunately i ended up betting a friend at the bar and took vtech -16.5, then we decided to make it fun and bet a small wager on the o/u! I got to pick the o/u last week in a similar bet so this week he got to pick! I made the mistake of predicting a score of last nights game earlier in the day that had me liking the under! He caught this and went with the under!! So i lost both, but the best part is, we decided last week if one of us hits both, he has to buy the loser a shot and beer! So here i am two weeks in a row with expensive shots and beers!! ha ha
anyway im on wvu -3.5 tonight!!!

Good point Bibs, I almost never do that, and don't do a ton of teasers. But occasionally I like to use it to get past a key number. In this case, to +4 to protect against USF finding a way to win by a FG.

the devine prop for over 115 yards might be a better bet than any of this game. I say he has about 185 rushing and 3 TD's himself. WV has 2 or 3 really quick backs, I just don't see USF stopping them. If WV was playing at Pitt, WV would probably be +3 and that Pitt team destroyed this USF team.

I know WVU is rolling, but ya truly believed that the score will be that high. I think it can't reach that high unless they are coming out lite some fire at the first qtr.
i'm going with WVU no side
NCU kick ass...

I think this game gets down to can WV passrush Daniels....I haven't had the chance to see WV play so I can't comment there...
Anybody have an opinion regarding WV passrush? I think if Daniels has time he'll make plays, both with his arm and feet....If he gets heat he tends to be wild and makes mistakes.....

The West Virginia offense can certainly put up points, and their defense can certainly give points away. You would think the over is a good play, but the fact that these games have always gone under since there two teams started to play each other seems to contradict that. Pass.
That's where I am at. Over 48 is the only play here IMO.
