Quarterback
Penn State: Is going to use a two QB system with (Jr) Matt McGlion having the better game against a weak Indiana State team with 6 of 8 for 77 yds, while (Sophomore) Rob Bolden was 6 of 12 for 37yds both with no TD's.
Bolden got most of the work load as McGlion warmed the pine most of the 4th QT.
Look for more of the same unless Alabama jumps to a good lead.
QB's McGlion & Bolden combined for over a 1,000yds passing each in 2010 so they both have experience behind the center.
Alabama: Is going to also use a two QB system with (Sophomore) AJ McCarron having the better game against a weak Kent State team with 14-23 for 226 yds, one TD and two interceptions while (Red Shirt Freshman) Phillip Sims passed for 7-14 for 73 yds with no TD's and two interceptions.
With Alabama being on the road in what should be a loud environment for both QB's look for Saban to go more with
the most experienced QB AJ McCarron pending his turnovers.

Running Backs
Penn State: (Sr) RB Stephfon Green is back in the lineup and Penn St is hoping he will have a better year then 2010 with
a total of 188 yds, during his absence in week one (Sr) RB Joe Suhey done better then his 2010 stats in week one of 2011 with 6 att for 29 and one TD and receiving 2 for 16yds.
While (Sophomore) Silas Reed is the better of the remaining 2011 RB's coming off his 2010 total of 77 att for 437yds. Reed started the 2011 year against Indiana St, with12 att for 104 yds and two TD's.
(Jr) RB Brandon Beachum could be the sleeper in the backfield after missing the 2010 season kicking off the 2011
with 7 att for 41yds and receiving 1 for 8yds.
Penn St distributed the ball around in the backfield against Indiana State with (Sophomore) Curtis Dukes rushing 6 att for 47yds with a sad receiving stat of 1 for 1yd.
Look for Penn St to use another committee of RB's to keep fresh legs on the field as much as possible.
Alabama: Has the Heisman hopeful Trent Richardson, and with Mark Ingram gone Richardson is the #No1 RB for the Alabama coming into the 2011 season, against Kent St he started the season off slow with 13 for 37yds and three TD's along with 1 for 16 receiving yds, while Eddie Lacy covered more yards with 8 for 58 yds, along with 3 for 76yds and one TD receiving.
(Sohpomore) Jalston Flower rushed 4 for 69yds and one TD.
Expect to see more of Trent Richardson in week 2 going into Happy Valley against a Penn State defense.
EDGE: Alabama
Receivers
Penn State: (Sr) Derek Moye was 53 for 885yds in 2010 and started the 2011 year against Indiana State with 4 for 57yds.
while (Jr) Justin Brown was 1 for 12yds.
Alabama: Will be without (Sr) Darius Hanks again but (Sr) Marquis Maze can fill some depth without any problem and against
Kent St he was 8 for 118yds and one TD while (Freshman) DeAndrew White 4 for 44yds to kick off his 2011 year.
Alabama receiving core has talent but has yet to show it in week one, so look for some play action passing with
(RB) Trent Richardson and (RB) Eddie Lacy again.
As for as TE's there not much to talk about with neither team avg over 25yds combined in week one, both TE's will be blocking
most of the time.
