Big Ten football is an ugly beast. Giving 2 touchdowns to anybody is a big gamble. Leaning on Illinois + the points, but will wait to see how the earlier games go.

Penn State homer here, and I am not taking them tonight.  But there is also no way I would bet against them, even if I were not a fan.

Under 14 is a good bet -- Shep you got it at a good value.  But I expect the weather to be a little sloppy, and ILL likely was looking ahead last week. 

Not only did they beat Oregon St 45-7, that game was not as close as the score indicated.  Then OSU upsets USC, at home.  We just got OSU at the right time.  If we had played OSU on the road last Thursday it would have been close.

I expect to see a ton of running with Royster and Green, some new offensive formations from both sides, and PS gets back two solid defenders who had been suspended for two games.

It might be close for a half but PS puts them away.  I'm just not comfy with 15.5-16 pts, anything over 14 really.

Okay boys, if Penn State is such a prohibitive favorite, then why did the spread drop with all of the money riding on them?

maybe i'd take illinois and the points if the game were in champaign (maybe)

but it amazes me how people forget that the Lions play like a completely different team at home.

Penn St is undefeated with an average marigin of vicory of 42 points per game

ILL 2-1 average margin of vicory of 14 Points per game

Penn State averaging 16 points per game more then ILL on Offense

Penn State is giving up an average of  20 points per  game less then ILL

PEnn State is far and above the best team in the Big Ten.   Look for Penn to pile it on today.  Besides, N'western just won today, keeping them undefeated.  Penn has to win today and win big.
