I had Rutgers probably winning by 9. This is going to be close unlike what many think. I will wait an hour before kick off to see if bettors will push the spread. I think Rutgers will strugle to stop Army's running game. Damn vegas knows where to put the spread to make a bunch of bettor pick the favorite, kind a like mental game.BOL

No play for me... I'd advise to stay clear of this one! This shouldn't be a big enough game to sucker you into playing. This is one of those games that could go either way... I know any game could go either way, but hear me out... The "easy" pick would be Rutgers. My book had Rutgers -6 @ 3pm today, then the line jumped to -10.5, less than thirty minutes later.
Personally, I've been impressed with Savage's play and feel like he could have an incredible game. I don't know enough about Army's freshman QB to draw a formidable conclusion. But, Army has more of a time management mentality where they'll play a field position game all night. Forecast @ West Point shows Rain, Rain, & more Rain... Cold RAIN at that...
History tends to repeat itself... I think it's safe to say Miami beats VTECH (home or away) by a TD minimum in the sun. The deciding factor in that game was a young QB (Harrison) that let a cold rain get the best of him. Remember, the coaches changed his jersey at half and he came out a different player. They kept him dry and in a jacket while on the sidelines, but once his jersey got wet again, he was back to his first half ways. These two QBs are not Harrison, I get that, but I use the example above to draw this conclusion; There are so many things a young QB has to overcome each and every game. It's hard enough to achieve success without adding the weather as yet another obstacle. Army's fans will be up for this game and it would take a strong performance by Savage to win, let alone cover 10.5 points. Both QBs are still proving themselves and will have their hands full playing against good defenses.
My longest post and I'm not even betting the game... In my opinion, If you play this game, your safest play is teasing Army & the Un. But, nobody knows until the final whistle is blown.
Hope this post helps somebody... Good Luck to all!!

They're: -Getting double digits at home -Getting double digits in what should be a low scoring game -The triple option is tough to defend, especially w/ one less day to prepare -Freshman QB's rarely cover double digit spreads on the road especially in their first road game ever -Army has just enough offense to keep it close -Rutgers is a has been program already, no Ray Rice... no dice
My initial reaction was to take Rutgers but after a little research I think Army will keep this under a touchdown
ARMY +10.5
