Thundering Herd +13.5                         over 47

Marshall bounces back pretty well as a home dog off a straight up and against the spread loss. I'll go with the trend and take the 13.5.... Maybe a new coach is just what the Herd needs to win the Battle of the Mountain State. I'll be happy with a cover.

I can promise you Marshall wont get anywhere near 28 points.

if WVU can limit the turnovers Marshall will be lucky to score in the double digits.

There will be a ton of WVU fans at the game.

Doc Holliday (Marshall's new coach) knows the WVU team very well but I don't think its enough to overcome his own team's limitations.

Marshall is terrible.

nothing like a one sided rivalry game.. Usually rivalry games are somewhat close, but not this series.. I was surprised the line open so low, which i thought was kinda fishy.. on Marshall here.. BoL

West Virginia don't impress me, but Marshall should play against a high school team. Then they just might cover that 12. lol

I think both dogs can cover tonight... I'll tease Marshall to +18.5 & UTEP +26. I've hear UTEP is much improved this year and although Marshall doesn't impress me... If they load up and stop Devine, I think they cover here.

You probably got caught up in laying big chalk with all those cupcake games like me last Saturday, eh BKG1010!?!?!?  I like W. Virginia here.  Marshall may keep it within the chalk.  I just can't put my money on that.  If I take a dog, I'll take the thicker chalk and a team that can actually score in the later game with UTEP.

I'm a WVU grad, and I can promise you that Doc Holliday knows our team better than any coach (including Bill Stewart) in the country. He was the centerpiece of our recruiting and understands our schemes very well considering... he implemented them!

Marshall will pull all the tricks our of the bag for this one - It's their Super Bowl. I'll wait for a favorable second half line as our athletes will take over regardless of coaching/trickery.

I'm by no means an expert, but I believe this Marshall team will be up to the task of keeping this one close @ home on Fri night as a double digit dog.  Gimme the Thundering Herd in this spot...

He May know WV well, but can he overcome them with what he's working with? Ahhh no! He just doesn't have the talent backing him with Marshall. Besides, WV coach knows all this and will make adjustments. This isn't his first rodeo.
