Covers will go down faster than Snapchat if they keep this format.

Been on this site for over 8 years.  The new format is garbage and I will prove it to you that almost 100% of the "Covers Community" will hate it as well as shown in the Polls I made in the MLB, NBA, and NFL forums.  Fix it and bring back the old format or you will lose a VERY high % of users on this site.  It's not user friendly whatsoever.  Ruining a great thing.  

Please post your feedback to the link provided at the top of the forums. Any suggestions/concerns are welcomed. Threads of this nature are not necessary.

You have 4 Covers members alone that have over 37 years combined on this site that think the new format is GARBAGE.

Is that not feedback, along with the polls I am conducting on MLB, NBA, and NFL forums?

Let's see how this unfolds within the next few hours.  Right now we're at a 96.5% Dislike Rate.  

I dare you guys to make a Poll on the forums asking if the members enjoy the new format.  You guys would never do it, even though you want "feedback,"  so, I did the dirty work for you.  

I replied and have to tell you..this is total BS. I will probably reduce my amount of time on this site due to this crap. 

I think you will get a better result by providing feedback in a constructive and respectful way, not being offensive like this.

Not at all, rather CT asked for you to submit the comments in a respectful way and that threads like this are not the way to express your issues.

I dont get the problems myself, I've been using the new format for a while because the site only said it was changing over for a LONG time, so why not get used to the differences and move on? Its different for sure but once you use it for a few weeks its not anything all that serious. 

This isnt the first time there were changes, it wont be the last time so enjoy the site and figure out how it can work for you as I and many have done.

Nobody is attacking CT here, but we are FED UP with being ignored by the people who insist on making these unnessecary changes and 'upgrades'.   It has been a failed experiment that nobody asked for but it has been constantly pushed down our throats.  It started with the scoreboards, then the contests and then the total overhaul of the site.  The people responsible for the changes obviously do not understand the people who use this site regularly and that is why you see the backlash.  This thread is shows the disgust of many every day users that know that their feedback is ignored.  We only have 2 real options because this 'upgrade' will not be reversed, so we either deal with it or move elsewhere.  CT has no say in what happens.  The Mods have no say in what happens.   We the users really have no say either.   In the end, Covers.com loses.

Can you just tell us why you decided to change the website when repeatidly users were telling Covers how bad the new format was?  It's not user friendly whatsoever.

And it is pathetic for you to say "its not anything all that serious."  Many of us have been on this site for a long time and we have seen the constant b.s. that has consistantly brought this site down over the years.  Covers has dramatically declined and a big part of the reason is when you guys implement a change, but this is by far the biggest change you have made to this site.  

It is a terrible change and as you can tell with the polls that majority of the forum thinks so as well.

Now, tell us why you would keep a format that almost the entire forum is completely against?  It cannot be difficult to go back to the old format.

Covers looks like a very cheap forum now.  This was definitely done to save a buck somehow.  It's just sad that nobdoy will bother giving an explanation as to why this was done, why they would keep it if everyone hates it, and actually respond to any feedback whatsoever.

The text in a forum is one of the most important things - it is afterall a forum.

However the text cannot be formatted, color coded, sized nor properly quoted (sometimes it works). 

This leads to difficulty in understanding the text - which is one of the most important things in a forum. If you quote someone who quoted someone else and everything is mushed togther as one person's quote (which it is not) you are just adding confusion. We have enough confusion when spell check and text formatting and quoting work properly.

Let's face it - you don't have the souce code of the original forum so you are unable to conduct necessary security enhancements behind the scenes - so you are left with no other choice but to have to write a new forum from scratch.

Otherwise it makes no sense to spend the money and re-write something that was not broken (on the surface) to begin with.

I hardly ever recall any posters here reporting any major issues with this forum EVER... until the new forum.

The only way this debacle makes sense is if 1.) you are unable to maintain the old site becuase the old dev team ran away with the source code or 2.) the owners of Covers are doing their nephew who is taking a programming course in high school a favor by letting him take a crack at it.

I think you would be surprised at how much CT DOES listen to comments and are working on things that are brought up. They know what the issues are and they are making improvements and modifications all the time. Just because you guys are not sent a message saying improvements are made does not mean they are not listening and making changes.

The reasons for the site changes are likely due to issues most of you are not even considering and like changes in the past, members will get accustomed to these changes, CT will tweak things and once you guys use the new format for a while it will get more familiar and it wont be an issue.

If you have specific, defined issues that CT can address, submit them as they asked and they will see if it is possible to address it. CT cannot address "This sucks" "Members will be leaving" and nonsensical complaining, those are not comments that add any value.

Its ok to not like change but complaining sure isnt going to make things better. Let CT know what items need to be modified and what specifics need to be tweaked and see if they can work on it.
