Could this guy be ready for a big return. I'm not sure about the severity of his injuries, but this guy could be ready to romp. It seems like time he comes back and is a monster.

Geovanni Bernard-

This kid will be the Doug Martin of this year. Don't tell anybody. Keep it a secret!

Kenny Britt really has a chance to shine. The team is good on the Oline and assuming they can keep the QB on his feet, there should be plenty of targets coming Britt's way. Also, it is a contract year, an added incentive to put it together. The talent has always been there. Had him in 2011 when he was really coming out the gate strong with two 100+ yard games with a TD.

He is a knucklehead though. But if his head is in the right place and has fully recovered from his injury, then watch out world, he could blow up.

That's a bold statement regarding Bernard. Lets see what happens/

You could trade the 2nd to get Spiller/Lynch and a 3-4th rd draft pick maybe. That is the only possibility I see.

Doug Martin does look pretty good though. I really hope that Schiano can get that defense to finally perform at a high level. I also hope he keeps a short leash on Josh Freeman. That kid's a bum. If they lose the first few games, I hope he pulls this bum in favor of a pretty much anyone.

Man we haven't played a single down in the preseason and already were down Hernandez, Crabtree, Maclin, and now Pitta.

I don't even know about significant injuries to any linemen that will also disrupt fantasy production.

Another big reason to be sure to wait before drafting.

I am not a fan of Matthew Berry. Usually during the season I will check in on his love/hate list. If I'm on the opposite side of his opinion, I feel good about my chances. But this is a good article. especially #5 and #8 as it pertains to Wes Welker.

Hmm... Interesting info. Man, I remember Megatron getting gummed up within the 5 yd line a bunch of times. I'm wondering if Dez Bryant or Brandon Marshall can surpass him this year.

Thomas is the man to own on the Broncos. Just heard they lost their starting center today. That's a hefty loss there for them, but it could be patched up if the rest of the line plays to their potential.

An ideal team Im constructing for this season would be built with RB-RB and Thomas as my third pick. Very bullish on his prospects.

I dunno. I think there are gonna be some serviceable rookies coming in to get later. It might be a good idea to pick up a Dez Bryant, Brandon Marshall or maybe a Jimmy Graham if you get one of the later picks in the first round.

You can get Giovanni Bernard and Eddie Lacey later on. You can also get their backups for cheap too in Franklin and and BGE. This is what I'm gonna do. Something special is sure to pan out of this, probably Bernard.

Now are you expecting the likes of Lacy/Bernard to be your #2 RB?

There is a is difference. Of course Jimmy Graham as a TE is an even bigger difference. He was on a title winning squad last year. But that team was very lucky as I picked up AP with my 3rd round pick and scooped up Alfred Morris right after our draft. Never looked back!

I've been running into spots during mock drafts (which I still hate but need just to cure my itch) where Gronkowski is available to be in the round 4 or 5 range. Last season he was a top 15 guy. Now you're getting him at 45? Nothing has changed. Well except for the fact he is hurt, but I would take a couple losses early if it means I get his production. With that replacement TE I would be using in the first few weeks, I could us that roster spot on whoever the breakout player is at that time. Last year, Alfred Morris was available before his breakout week 1 game in several of my leagues. Could we see the same this season with maybe a backup in Dallas or someplace?

I would expect Lacy or Bernard to be a # 2. I guess it depends on if you wanna draft some stud receivers or not. I think those guys can get the job done and you'll have the most elite receivers.  I'm not too big on Jimmy Graham too early but at the same time he could be worth it. Maybe Delanie Walker could be a good late pickup for TE.

There is gold in them there hills.

It will probably be somebody out St Louis or maybe San Fran. Dallas is a good possibility. They got an Ok st guy right?

Maybe Isaiah Pied or LaMicheal James.

Do not forget Kendall Hunter. Also heard some rumor's Jahvid Best may be getting back in it. Also, Fred Jackson is no slouch.

The waiting theory is being pitched by every source that provides fantasy football information. So every single average joe who thinks they know fantasy football now knows that waiting on a QB is the way to go. You must formulate a strategy to combat that. You do that by paying attention to what others are drafting in your league. Don't get into a situation where there all of a sudden is a run on QB's just before your pick. Then all of a sudden your stuck with Andy Dalton or something.

I think waiting is the sound strategy. To think I can pick up Stafford in the 8th round is absurd to me. When last season he was a top 40 player.

Tony Romo? I love it when idiots criticize me for taking this guy year after year. All because as an NFL player he cant get it done in the big game. That's okay. That's not what fantasy football is about. I could care less. All that matters is he can deliver the ball and has a plethora of talent to catch those passes. Inflating his stats even more. Would love that guy. Especially after accumulating skill players .

Just keep in mind, everyone else is in on this secret. You have to take what your draft will give you. I'm not against taking a top guy or mid tier. If I can get Cam Newton with my 5th or 6th pick, then I will surely do so.

Beware Eli though. I went in last year and took him late, he didn't really get it done for me, was average and it took a balsy play at the end of the season on my end to bench his behind. Kaepernick saved the day. 

Ive been mocking more than usual and let me tell you, its going to be a tough year. Once you get past the 8th round, there are many question marks. You will have to get lucky this year. Pay attention in the preseason and study up on your offensive philosophies. One thing I've noticed, its great to be picking in the 4-6 spot. I mean, every spot has its advantage from the snake, but the 6 spot in particular is where Id like  to be.

You're right! It never goes as planned. Especially when you're sweating it out and have 3 picks ahead of you and just like that 1,2,3! Each of your targets are gone and you have to scramble and make adjustments. All summer long you prepared yourself and had a Plan B, C, D. and all of a sudden its gone with the wind.

That's how it goes down most of the time. Like the gentleman just said, you are going to have to draft the best available player.

More tidbits;

Packers lost their starting left tackle, Baluga today. He was also gone for the stretch run last year. The line has been in flux and guys switched sides on the front anyway., There is still talent on that line and Aaron Rodgers is one of the best in the business, but this has to raise some concern. As of now, Rodgers is on my caution list. Still draft able. but I will let the other guys get him at a time when I'll be stashing RBs or stud WRs.

Gronkowski may be place on the PUP list to start the season (out atleast 6 weeks). At that point you must ask if he is worth the hassle. Not to mention, you aren't going to be getting much info out of that regime. Moved to the DO NOT DRAFT list. He would have to significantly fall. On that point, he will be helping many teams en route to a title late in the season.

Terrell Owens - He somehow made the news. He hasn't done squat in years and at this point is nothing more than a side show.

I am starting to get intrigued with Greg Jennings potential. I'm not sure why at this point, but am curious to learn if he has established a connection with Ponder. If so, he deserves a boost this year. I think he really could shine as he has in the past.
