I 100% know I wasn't going to get Paul, but when TOP player comes out on the block its due process to throw an offer out for him
But lets be honest. Does the deal look better if you replace Hawes with Boozer because of their track records?
Like I said. I had offered Boozer and Thornton. Hell...YOU wanted Thornton AND Monroe was it? For Iggy. I know you said you didn't expect me to accept it but you must think something of Thornton.

I like Thornton a lot and he filled needs for my team. I needs 3's back if i was losing Iggy. Also again I also throw out an offer saying these are the guys I want. Lets go from there.
Boozer sucks for fantasy imo. Hes a decent player in real life.
like i said i have nothing against you making a deal

What I told Dante when his teams need when he asked us for help...I said 3's and points. I considered Nick Young a good option. Marcus Thornton > Nick Young. He's weak at those categories with the loss of Gordon and Odom shitting the bed.
Then when Horford went down...I figured he needed rebounds. Earlier in this thread I said that I could pull a deal off right now if I wanted to. And PSM said that my team is solid right now and I don't need to make a move. I was talking about trading one of my big men for Collison but I didn't really like Collison so I didn't waste my time.
Then when I read what ManRam said earlier about it being a good idea for him to trade CP3 for 2 or 3 players...I figured what the hell. I'll get an offer prepared and send it his way.
Dalembert has 77 points and 75 blocks on the season. Most of those numbers came in last night's game alone. He gets an upgrade in rebounds alone with the depth and upgrade with Boozer or Hawes over Dalembert.
But like I said...my first offer was Boozer and Thornton, straight up, for CP3. That was the offer that I said was declined. Then it left the 2nd offer...then I saw the counter...then I accepted.

Hawes is better then Boozer stop with the house hold name and talking to me like im a idiot. Youre comments on picking up Vince Carter and trading him on name value doenst hurt any of our feelings.
I believe i am the one who is always the one when it comes to us being the one who thinks guys can keep up their good play and YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SAYS HE WILL NEVER KEEP IT UP. Brett Gardner ring a bell? Now you have Hawes who played a great first 2 weeks all of the sudden is holding value and being traded for the 3rd best player in fantasy. Its flat out laughable how your arguments change.

I get your logic. On any other person I'd say whatever people made a trade end of story.
I just feel like Dante admitted he didn't know alot and was learning. I know you wouldnt direclty take advantage of him because your a good guy( not fucking around ).
I'm just unsure of how it really helps his team.

Lets not forget he had to drop a player to get this deal done. So this deal is actually
Chris Paul
Sam D
Booby Gibson
For
Marcus Thornton
Spencer Hawes
Andre Miller
If you want to go off of stats what are you looking to gain here bluejays? You will decline in the following:
Assists
FG %
FT%
3PT
Steals
Blocks
Turnovers
You gain
like 20-30 points
like 20-30 rebounds
Hawes is averaging more blocks per game than Dalembert.
He easily gains turnovers in the long run because Hawes and Thornton don't turn the ball over and CP3 is a starting PG. PG's always turn the ball over 200 times in a regular season.
And he gains productive 3's from Thornton. I didn't tell him to drop Gibson. He has Gibson and Korver. 2 players that were on the market last week for anyone to pick up because they're good for 1 thing and 1 thing only...and that's 3's. Those guys are easy to come by.
He helps himself in rebounds (a need of his with Horford being out). And once Gordon comes back...he'll have good scoring options
He loses steals but not by a great deal. CP3 is always the steals leader but Thornton is stealing a bunch as well and Miller is always a mid 100's steals guy.
FT% yes. FG% yes. Assists yes. But don't make it out to look like he loses out on 7 of the 9 categories because that's not true.

Bingo. IF you pulled this trade with powerade or psm or someone else who has played this before it would be hats off yo got over on him. Since its someone who has no idea what they are doing i feel obligated to step in as commish and protect his team from a brutal trade. The same way i would hope people would do for me if i made a bone head trade in the hockey league because i dont know shit about the sport outside of the Wings and playoff time.

Boozer is a scoring, 50% FG shooter and a good rebounder. Noah's supposed to be the big rebounder on this team and he's under performing so Boozer is picking up the slack.
But...Hawes, imo, is the better all around player. But he's not a pretty name and nobody but me or maybe my opponent for the week will follow him because he's just Spencer Hawes. A guy who started the season on the free agent market.

Im done arguing with you. For one you are a Yankee fan and you are bringing that into our fantasy thread with your arguing about a subject you know you are wrong about. Its a BAD trade. Stop trying to defend the shit. Stand up be a man and said hey ya i ripped him off but he offered it to me what did you want me to hit the reject button? Grow a set buddy. I would respect you more for that and have more of a chance of accepting it then making me sit here and argue with you page after page over something YOU KNOW IS WRONG. My god its like fighting with my kids.

Im heading over to Lebobs house right now where 4 managers will be. PSM and Err already expressed their displeasure with the trade.
I can not sit here and make it clear enough. As commish of the league i feel i have the right to step in and protect a rookie from demolishing his team. Its nothing personal. I love you all still the same .

Yeah this wouldn't happen to me in any other sport.
And manram I always look at the few trades that have been made in hockey just to see if there good or not. I would report to you any that I feel are way lopsided.

Asik is the one picking up the boards for the bulls. Noah sucks offensivly so Asik is getting more minutes. I saw every bulls game this season thanks to my brother

So you're trying to hold me to that 1 occasion? That's not fair. It's a different situation because I judge my Yankees far more critically than I judge anyone else because I watch them and follow them more than anyone else. He was the same Gardner that played the year before. The only difference was that he produced. And look what happened in 2011. He took a step back.
Hawes, on the other hand, was said to have come into the season in great shape. Take that into account and he's playing great.

i just saw the trade and im glad there is a huge discussion...i dont see any way this makes sense for bluejays...its head to head and he goes down in almost 7 categories

ManRam said that it would be smart for him to trade Paul. That seed was planted in my head so I figured I'd try my luck. I made my offer...I left a message in the comment box and explained my side and how I thought the offer would help him. It's laid out how I explained it to you guys.

YOU brought up Gardner. I had to defend my reasoning. So don't act like it came out of the blue.
And you think Rondo, West and Reddick was so much better. You know it's all about the flashy names. West has been average this year and Rondo is an assists/steals guy. He can do more but doesn't. So don't be a hypocrite because if my deal was so bad...your deal wasn't better.

Than DECLINE the fucking trade and move on. You know they're going to hate it too. Just decline it and let dante move on to another deal.
I mean...that was the idea all along right? For dante to trade CP3 for depth?
