That's why I have in my head that violent conduct in the WC is a 3 match ban.
I guess it is 1 match automatically, and then more tacked on according to discretion. This will only be 1 match.

Really? I don't think so. I think they punish violent conduct, but you think he will get extra game suspension for that? I would be surprised, but with FIFA..... You never know.

Ha. Must be the guys who did Denmark / Peru. He did this about 10 times during that match.
How does Fox not think that this is terribly confusing for the casual viewer? Why doesn't anyone whisper in his ear not to do this?

Must be the same guys indeed..watched Denmark/Peru without sound so this is my first experience with that ridiculousness.
Surprising no one handed him a soccer/futbol "terms and expressions" handbook after the first match.

FS1 ends the game ASAP to put on Undisputed so all the TV’s in America that haven’t been turned off or channel changed get this show the soccer ratings...
I noticed that too...not even a mention that the "coverage" is moving to FOX...they proceed to show MAYBE 2 minutes of "highlights" (the goals without any of the build-up, substitutions with out any of the reasoning for making them, and fouls only to show a questionable call that led to Colombia's goal) with no mention of anything else and then its onto the Poland/Senegal match for the next 45 minutes (25-28 minutes of which will be commercials)

Poland / Senegal....
I don't really know what to take from that game. The whole thing was just strange.
The one thing for sure is that for one of the highest scoring teams in European Qualifying, Poland had zero speed on the ball. Not pace of the players - but ball movement - it wasn't sharp at all and it was slow. Down or up - controversial goals or not - Poland didn't move the ball with precision and speed and that is a recipe for failure.
Senegal really impressed me where most sub-Sahara African teams have historically failed - in organization and defense. They were rock solid. The only real threat all game against them was the goal, and that was a set piece. Very surprised and impressed.
Not sure how many shots total on target in the game but it had to be not much more than the three goals that were scored.
