ANY TIPS ON GETTING ABS TIGHT?
The only thing that sucks is that I have no variety in my diet... every morning is some combination of plain oatmeal, plain/greek yogurt with a little granola and maybe some blueberries, or a cup of fruit. Lunch is almost always chicken (FRIED chicken... this is where I splurge, but I don't really care about eating fat)... either plain or I get it with a salad and make a chicken salad... and dinner is usually some combination of meat and vegetables. Pretty boring

I find that by mixing a lot of protein into my meals I get the feeling of being "full" faster, & I'm not consuming as many cals............not to mention the fact that if you're working out a lot it's a good idea to get more than the RDA of protein. The only sugar I consume is in my a.m. coffee (I allow myself that luxury) or the occasional protein drink after a workout, & I don't eat much bread or anything that contains a lot of flour, even if it's unprocessed wheat. I aim for about 5 meals a day.
Other than that I don't get too anal about what I consume. Certainly alcohol is a detriment so I limit that, but if you mix up your foods you're less likely to get bored & binge on crap. You also don't need to consume gallons of water every day.........stay hydrated but there's no need to drown yourself.
..........and you cannot spot-reduce fat..............fat gathers all over your body & will come off everywhere as you lose it. I'm sure you or others will notice your face getting thinner as you lose weight. But the area with the most (usually our guts) will take longer to dump..........just gotta keep at it.

I've also been eating very few carbs (less than 40g a day I would say), almost no sugar that isn't from fruit, drinking at least 70 ounces of water a day usually more, no carbs after getting home from work, doing a little bit of cardio (like 30 minutes on an elliptical twice a week, 3 times if I'm really going crazy) and just avoiding useless shit like coke, fast food, eating 1500 calorie meals, etc. I've probably been doing this for a month, I weighed 188 to begin with (I'm 5'11'', so I wasn't really fat but I was getting a gut) and I'm down to 174 already with a lot less belly fat, feeling better than ever.

very similar routine to me. this is a long term sort of regiment and it's not too hardcore but guarantees results.
a sensible diet, being active and staying disciplined are the fundamentals to shedding that fat off the belly and off your body over all.

2 months may not be long enough to develop abs definition. Also body building is limited by genetics, diet, exercise, time and lifestyle.
Quality of exercises might be a factor? Body metabolism can be increased by doing resistance training to increase overall muscle mass. Targeting 4-5 different muscles in midsection may help.

If you guys are even remotely serious about weight training and nutrition you should really go to a dedicated bodybuilding forum. This is definitely not the forum to be asking for advice on this subject.
So true. Take RickeM for example. Has lots of advice that revolves around looking it up on the internet.....never has "real" advice....
Take the post above. Once again, contributing nothing to this thread, but saying he knows "so much more on the subject" ....Really? How about one piece of advice for the quy who asked a question? I guess your knowledge is equal to the internets available info....that is tough to compete with. ![]()

Your comebacks are getting repetitive. Try something new for change.
Comeback means you said something that would get me.....and you didnt. What would I have to be jealous of? Your lack of general knowledge and inability to win at sports betting?
Speaking of something new.....How about advice from you other than "google it".......![]()

I have to disagree!! cats on here have given me plenty of quality advice especially in that thread i posted on pg 2 here. The amount of quality advice on that thread alone was so good that there are some i am only learning is vital/significant now after it has proven to have worked for me.

Went on an over-the-top low carb diet and got to 170 in no time.
I'm right on the verge of being where I want to be before I try to put on a little muscle again, but I can't lose any more weight. It's not happening. And I feel like I'm getting almost frail I eat so few carbs, like I'm losing muscle mass to or something. I'm about to just go back to eating carbs, it can't be healthy to eat as few carbs as I have been.
But at the same time, I would really love to cut just a little bit more of my gut out, the slight gut is about the only fat I have left. I'm just so fucking lazy I can't exercise at all, I work about 10 hours a day and just don't get around to it any more... when I lost all the weight I was barely exercising, but I just pissed the fat right out of me (eating less, super healthy, extremely low carb, and 80 oz of water a day).
Any good ab workouts? Should I go back to carbs?

Fundamentally incorrect. 1 gram of carbs or protein=4 kcal (or calorie), 1 gram of fat =9 kcal, 1 gram alcohol=7kcal

sorry to burst your bubbles but you don't have to eat 6-7 meals a day to "keep" the metabolism going. and why cant you eat carbs after 1 pm? As long as you meet your macro's for the day, your good to go. As for the abs, I say its 75% diet but working out helps.
Haha wow please stop trying to help people cause that statment of not eat 6-7 times a day makes you sound quite ignorant to fitness.

Yes "Cats" on here know a lot about Bodybuilding and I am one of them however, the best place to go is on bodybuilding forums lol
