How are you gonna handle business lunch or dinner social or something?
Bring in a bag of PEA POWDER and mix it?
Ask the waiter to bring you a raw piece of cabbage?
Rooting for you CD ...... Just think you have lost your mind.

How's it going?
Did I lose my under 36 hour bet?
what's up fried. the detox program is still on after one week. overall, mainly the shake twice a day is kind of a pain but i mixed it up and started using strawberries rather than mixed berries. it's better. but i can't find a big bag of strawberries so starting tomorrow i'm going with raspberries.
and, as sharpaction predicted, some days i am pretty hungry. but i usually eat some celery or carrots and this takes care of it. like i said, you can do anything for 30 days. however, usually nuts take care of this and that's probably ther biggest change.
the only issue i foresee is this. this wasn't about weight loss. i wouldn't mind losing 3-4 pounds but i don't want to lose any more than that. it was partially about detox but mostly about pinpointing what foods cause inflammation. my inflammation is way down, but i cut out a lot of stuff. is it dairy (doubtful), nuts, grains, sugar, tomatoes, something else? i don't know. the best way to find out is to reincorporate these things one at a time. that takes time. my wife isn't going to cooperate past 30 days. i may slowly bring back one or two things before the 30 days (like nuts and tomoatoes) to see if i can figure out what food(s) i have a bad reaction to. that would be the biggest benefit from this thing.

when i said dairy (doubtful), i mean that i don't eat/drink much dairy so it's unlikely that's the cause. i never use milk. on the rare occasion i have cereal, i use coconut milk. otherwise, occasionally i'll have yogurt or ice cream with the kids.
by inflammation, what i mean is a general condition that causes me chronic back/neck pain. i used to work out a lot (early on, not the right way) and thought that was the cause. but since i quit my symptoms reduced and changed. i stretch and that helps but it's kind of like a fairly constant fog, like you can never get your muscles to loosen up. it doesn't slow me down or affect me when i'm exercising but i feel it mostly when i'm not. anyway, it's been much better since i started the detox.
the body is self-healing. if you have a constant problem like this without any obvious, acute cause, i figure it's because i repetitively do something that causes a bad reaction and inflammation to occur. i need to figure out what it is. i'm guessing sugar and/or grains.

adding legumes back today (which includes peanuts). dairy this weekend.
the final two items to be added will be sugar and wheat/gluten, in that order. i suspect the problem food/ingredient is wheat/gluten. i think gluten is killing us all, slowly or otherwise. it might be difficult to add sugar without gluten but i imagine there are gluten free desserts at the health food store and then fruit with honey or agave syrup should work as well.
here's an article about gluten on the website i've been promoting.
i will write a final recap of the detox diet next week if anyone is interested.
