The manager tells me that it will cost 10 dollars to replace. Is this standard procedure?

The fucking card is a piece of plastic the size of your thumb. I will gleefully hand a homeless person 50 dollars before I spot Mr dickless avocado body with no personality a red cent.

This is definitely a scam by the gyms.  My gym its $30 to replace a lost card but its written in the contract.

$5 to replace at my gym and they do cost the club $, especially if they are fancy ones. The main reason gyms charge this is because some members like to hand out cards to friends as they try to let them use it to sneak in. This helps curb some of that if there is a charge.

Obviously not the case here, use your DL to check in for a while, 8 times out of 10 your card will pop up somewhere and the gym should hold it at the front desk for you. Keep asking.
