More exciting updates to share based on your feedback

Hi everyone – Thank you for all the great conversations and we hope you’re finding these update posts useful. We wanted to make sure to keep everyone in the loop on the forum improvements we’re making based on your feedback. Here’s our list for Thursday, March 5:

Recently updated:

- Darkened font color for improved readability

- Latest update badges added

- Added desktop page numbering to the top of the thread 

- Added pinned post icons

- Reduced post title size on mobile to save space

- Reduced post width for an easier read

- Added visited forum link color to thread listing 

- Added the date the thread was created to thread listing

- Removed reCAPTCHA for regular users 

- Added 10 minutes restriction between creating threads (not applicable to regular users)

- Added 90 second time restriction between posts (not applicable to regular users)

- Added old Emojis back

Updates coming soon:

- Adding a dislike button

- Integrating gifs  

- Adding the ability to edit post/thread within the first 5 minutes of posting

- Adding in a search function

New forum is horrible. Hard to read and everyone is complaining about it.

There’s nothing wrong with the new forum, Covers, the only problem I have is all the boner receptacles complaining about it!  They will get used to it and stop crying just like they did when the website format changed.  Thanks for upgrading!

We appreciate the feedback. Many users have mentioned the readability as something they would like to see improved and we have been working to address those concerns. If you have any specific examples of what you find hard to read we would love to hear them.

The forum better

Seriously the forum is not different.  Stop crying about emoticons which you still have...

Only fair to state after complaining originally is that the safari experience on IPad is 100% better faster than the old site now.

Thanks for your feedback there. We made a few changes to forum experience on tablets, so you should see improved navigation now.

Why can’t you just leave the old option to as well?????? Obviously not many like the new set up. For the matchup’s or the forum!!!

We are not able to keep two forum layouts moving forward but are working to improve the current version with the continued feedback. If there is anything you would like to see included please let us know.

While the old forums will not be returning, we are committed to continuing to tweak and improve the current forums. If you have any suggestions for how the new version can be improved we would love to hear it.

I am new here but I do have a suggestion based on my experiences at other forums. The number of threads you show on one page is only 25. Most forums show 50-100 per page which makes it less annoying by needing to continually click next page to see more.

Why are people like ZackofallPicks and SwoopyPicks allowed to post here when they are touts? And why would you allow someone like Straightbets to post here too when he is nothing but a loud mouth distraction who is misleading so many innocent people? This baffles me me to be honest.

Hate the new format. Awful on iPhones. I can see like two threads without scrolling. Could see 25 before in the old format.

We are working to enhance the forums and include as many of the features users would like to see restored from the old layout in addition to adding things that were/are missing. If you have anything you would like to include in this we would love to hear it.

I cant stand the forum section. It takes me 5x the amt of time to scroll through and look for certain posters. So much more posts on 1 page . I always reverted back to old way even when new way was out. Takes way too long to look for posters.  I could just visually scroll down looking for names or I could based off of view count. Cant do that now. It requires a 1 by 1. Please fix

I will point you to the above quote from Covers-Sam regarding the change in the number of viewable threads. Unfortunately, we are somewhat hamstrung regarding this particular issue but will continue to look at ways to address this concern. If there is anything else you would like to see please let us know.
