Never had any problems with this site before and have been a loyal customer for over 3 years. I had asked them to dispute an issue on my account which I believe my account was hacked by someone and I had some money taken out of there. I had tried to ask if there was something they could do to investigate it and see if there was a different IP address that was logged into my account. Well, this is the chat I had with their manager. Really at a loss for words for how I was treated.
Please wait while I transfer the chat to 'Tony'.

Tony: i read the word "stolen", and i stopped there
richard: Is this really how you guys treat your customers that are spending thousands on this site?
Tony: no point in reading much more than that
Tony: you wager, you win, you get paid

that is such horrible customer service, I've have had situation on other sites where I never got my money and the customer support always helps me out and will solve the problem. It's unreal how they treated you if this is true

He's got a point. Posting this on any forum won't prevent people from using the site unless they have a problem themselves. I remember a conversation of his being posted on here after a dispute on a bet for Wrestlemania last year.
Customer Service with 5dimes is good. But once you get to him...there's really no point in continuing. And they're not going to reason with you or give you any help for being a long-term or loyal customer.
I noticed, however, that you didn't explain to HIM the situation. He said he stopped after he saw "stolen". I doubt explaining yourself would have helped anyway but maybe it could have worked.
Can't lie, though. Tony must be living an awesome life.

Wow that's a really harsh way to be treat your customers. To be honest, I wouldn't expect a betting site to do anything for you if your account got hacked/stolen from, as they wouldn't compensate something that wasn't an error on their part. They would just say you should have made your password harder to guess at, or keep your pc malware clean etc etc. Hope you didn't lose much money from this incident but yea definitely this Tony guy was very unprofessional towards you.

Yeah he must be. And I know posting this isn't going to do anything, I just that it was kind of pathetic on their part. I had really never had problems with them before, quick payouts, fast deposits, but this situation put me over the edge. I explained the issue to who I was talking to before I was transfered, but this 'Tony' guy basically treated me like I was a piece of garbage. All I did was ask them to investigate it or do something, and he just kept being a piece of shit. Never again will I use 5dimes with this customer support. Is Bodova any good?

can you explain how the money was hacked and then stolen?
there must be a record for where the money went, right? im not woth 5dimes but pinnacle, caliente and matchbook have a record of your transaction adn balances.

what exactly happened with your account? if someone hacked into it they shouldve e-mailed you to confirm a money transfer was being performed that you requested. at that point you shouldve been able to cancel the transfer as it was fraudulent in nature.
matchbook will inter-transfer funds with pinnacle but the names on the account have to match. also, they e-mail me to confirm that i actually requested said transfer. matchbook will only transfer money back into the bank that originated the deposit. as for western union, that would also have to have the same name on the account as the name that is receiving the money. caliente will only do withdrawals with photo identification and again, the name on the account has to be the same as the account name.
i dont work for any of the aforementiond books but your story is questionable, especially when you havent clearly explained it to us.

richard: I'm done talking to you, you guys are a joke. Can't really put any money on after getting treated like this
I feel like this is where the problem is. You never directly explained to him what happened. Like I said...it probably wouldn't have done anything...but you still shoulda bit the bullet, let him be a jackass, and explain the situation. He said he stopped at stolen. So he probably thinks you lost and are complaining about it (which is what it looks like as he says... you win, you get paid, you lose, you put more in).

Sparky, why are you defending this asshole Tony and his shitty book?
FWIW, I had a similar problem about six years ago with 5dimes and Tony was an asshole back then too. Hard to believe this book continues to get A+ ratings. I guess if you pay for advertising on a site you can get away with anything.

Tony is an asshole. I agree with that. But I'm just saying that he should have explained to Tony what was going on instead of just going back and fourth with him. When it's an important matter such as this, I just try to be cool, calm and collected, no matter how much of an asshole the other person is. Take the shots that were directed at me and try to find a solution. If at the end of it all he doesn't answer the question or help in any way, then say what you will. But I'm sure that won't really matter to him.
I'm not so much defending him as I am simply calling it like it is. He could care less about a single customer because he has SO MANY. And I'm sure 90% of his customers haven't even spoken to him before. If his attitude ever started to show a drop in customers, then I'm sure he would change it. But until then...he's gonna be the asshole that he portrayed in the 3 times I've heard about him.

Before I was talking to Tony I explained my situation to some lady, then I was transfered to Tony. I felt no need to explain my situation again to him when he had the chat log right there in front of them and he didn't want to read after "stolen"

Well, I lost a few hundred dollars and I have no idea where exactly they went, and no I'm not making this up. When I logged on this morning to say that I wanted my account closed they basically said that I was out of line in the chat log when I talked to Tony. I was the one who started it and wasn't treating him right. After that, I told them to just go fuck themselves, what a joke. Bodova it is.

I think Tony could read the previous chat and figure out what the customer was referring to with stolen. I think this player was upset because as soon as the chat started Tony was making fun of him and not really trying to be of any assistance.
I have no idea why people continue to play at 5 dimes for wagering options but don't mind horrible customer service

We have a guy here saying his money was "stolen". Notice in the first post (and every post after) he edits out the part where he explains how it was stolen? We start the chat transcript halfway in, not at the beginning. Suspicious.
Tony - while being a little rough around the edges - is fair from what I have seen. You have to understand something - he has every degenerate in the world coming after him from every angle trying to pull shit. Bonus scams, somebody stole my money scams, I didnt bet that wager scams - everything under the sun scams.
So his first position on anything is that he isnt going to be played a fool. He has seen this before, and he takes an intimidating tone so that you know he has seen this before. And you know what? 99% of the time he is right.
And in this case, the original poster didnt even attempt to explain his situation to Tony, and that is the most damning evidence of all that he is full of shit. After Tony gave his rant - if indeed there was a stolen IP or whatever - the person that was actually stolen from would calmly present a case with evidence - and at that point Tony would consider the case.
Its pretty simple from Tonys point of view on this case. You are trying to tell me that somebody logged on to your account, placed wagers without you knowing - for what reason???? To win on your account? Tony knows that they will ONLY send money to YOU, so what is someone going to accomplish by placing wagers on your account?
It doesnt add up. And the more I think about it and see these kind of posts - the more I think Tony is spot on with his approach. This is not a bank or an airline. This is a business where 99% of the issues you deal with are degenerates and scammers taking a shot. I think there is something to learn from this approach.
And dont forget - 5dimes is just about the last legitimate book left for Americans. There arent many other options out there.

And notice Tony's first words in the chat session.
"What was stolen?"
And then notice the original posters next comment and further comments had nothing to do with what actually happened, but only on the words Tony uses.... Sure sign to me that the issue was being avoided.
Anyone who was stolen from would present their case at that moment. Certainly, they would present their case at some point. Somebody who had a weak case or knew they were in trouble would avoid the issue and keep posting about being insulted.
Original poster- come back in this thread - present your case - and prove me wrong. Give all of the details. I will back down if you present a solid case.

22 posts and we still dont know how the funds were misappropriated, if they were at all.
i agree with vanzack. imo, probably less than one percent of all "stolen money" claims are legit, therefore, tony has probably come to enjoy these bullshit claims in some skewed way for amusement purposes
i mean, we have one thread like this after how many thousands of bets taken by 5dimes each and every day? and still no rebuttal by the TS?
okay.

Although I don't like this "Tony" or the way he handled it I will say this: People travel frequently. Accounts can be accesses and used all over the world. If you take a vacation ANYWHERE you can access your account and use it. So how would a book know if a customer is being honest? There is virtually NO WAY to prove IP ownership without a full scale investigation which would require subpoenas & tracking down the suspect which would require law enforcement........Can you present this 'problem' to the authorities in the U.S.?......No you can't.....So in my opinion,,,THAT is why Tony has the "I don't give a sh**" attitude....Not saying it's right but THAT is what is happening.
The only resort that someone really has is in fact bad mouthing the book. How many customers is that really going to effect?....Maybe a few but nothing significant to the book.....So really there is very little recourse under current regulation.
Personally, I would simply cut my loss and try and find a local. "Locals" are becoming preferred because it's getting too difficult to fund overseas accounts. It's also too difficult to get paid.
