Newbie here with a small 5dimes account. Why is it best to use MoneyGram and WU? Why not use Vanilla reload and MoneyPak to a prepaid debit card?

but i finally win a substantial amount and all of a sudden this thug Tony who trust me is one of the rudest people i have ever talked to...posts a bad line, and pays me for it...even though i called them and told them that night, that it was a bad line and was honest with them...they still pay me...then the next day all of a sudden i have minus in my account for the wager....as soon after waiting 4 hours to talk to some guy named tony all he says is if u refute it, i'm taking all your wagers...i mentioned one more thing to him and he took all my pending wagers and closed my account, no questioins and he refuses to talk to me....scumbag
This is exactly why I had to chargeback my credit cards against them. They screw you and leave you no options because they are in a third world country. If they were here in the states you could just go fix it in person.

People need to spread their hussle a little. If you are playing over 10K on an out of country site, it is your own fault. If you are good enough at gambling then move to Vegas. Anyone silly enough to disclose a bad number on a bet to 5D or any book doesn't deserve the payout. There is no honor grade you receive here or there. The minute you did that, they turned around to all the other TECHS and announced how you just gave them 10K.
Brash people (mostly still in their 20s) figure, I won, I want my money today, regardless if they r making an illegal bet... It is amazing how people think their basic life, the honor that may be involved with their family, friends, job, etc. tranfers over to an illegal gambling site with a leader Named TONY, and TONY most likely has too many vowels in his last name.
It is a business, just like anything else, an illegal one. If your dope dealer rips you off, you can do little unless you have some power. Same thing here. So use your steet smarts to gain what you can.
If you are a great gambler, you cant use these books endlessly, they are not going to allow it. I myslef, have been floating on the same funds for almost a year in the 4K area. Not enough to take, but if it goes above "X" then I would withdraw 60% leaving some so they know I will be staying.
ANd I seriously doubt anyone is going to belieze and whack Tony... I am sure Tony is not touchable. He isn't visiting the 7-11 to get coffee every morning. He is making Fat money, besides what he sends up to New York for protection...

One other thing, just like with any business, you will have problems. People quit, get fired, the money transfer thing is tough for them, places ask for a bigger kickback, etc.
5D could use a better server this year come football season. It sucks as you prepare for the games Saturday Morning. ANd a little less having to kiss azz to the rep via IM when cashing out would be nice too. But then again, they are not in it to be NICE...
Overall.... One really can't complain... It doesn't do any good.

Pipe-Light has it spot on y'all!! I've been @ 5D over 10/11 yrs now....a small problem once...my bad & Tony's right hand girl scolded me and since it was u/$200 I didn't get booted...I have been using a couple locals for almost 7/8 yrs and am spreading a little to 5D & Bookmaker..just in case my locals disappear..my 2 cents.

Love this forum. Laughed so hard I coudn't speak or eat. I don't know any of these guys but it brings back memories of Rudy's Leather Goods which didn't sell a thing except chance and the Bainbridge Academy of Billiards. They both were up in the Bronx and people always spent their time arguing while I learned basic billiards. I left New York when Joe Bonanno's family left just ahead of a hail of lead. I was a gambler not an assassin but mistakes could and were made.

5 dimes is a piece of crap. Their customer service is absolute garbage. Was supposed to receive a payment via the dcfa funding method yesterday. Called yesterday, they told me to wait until today. Call today, they tell me there is a delay with the processor and it could take up to another week. They offer no sort of compensation or support even though THEY screwed up. darn them. Once I get my payment, I am done with their book. If anyone has a book they use that is reliable please lmk. Much appreciated.

I also had a bad experience with 5dimes recently...when I reported it to SBR they did nothing ....the guy Tony tried to threaten me, and talked real greasy to me, on a live chat....needless to say....he took my money and suspended my account.....don't know for sure, but something is going on at 5dimes...and I'm thinking there about to close....I suggest Heritage...there on point, any problem I ever had with them, always got resolved in a respectable manner....5dimes is trash now....

i play with a local and Bookmaker. I don't how anyone could play with 5dimes after they ripped that guy off. The worst part were the threats by Tony. Who would play with this animal? This site pretty much reserves the right to #%#@% people.
Anyway, I am actually looking for a solid off shore recommendation in addition to Bookmaker which i like. Most important thing for me is security and timely payouts. Thanks!

Whats the deal with doing a charge back? You either have to tell your bank that you knowingly gambled online and you want to have all those deposits you made refunded back to your CC account? Will they actually do that or just say tough luck?
If you lie and said they were simply fraudulent charges then I'm sure it would open you up to fraud charges yourself and now you would be in trouble with your bank in the u.s.?
If the bank investigates they will eventually find out that all those deposits were made from your ip address and not fraudulently like you claimed, so don't you have to just be up front?
Can your bank do a charge back after the charge has been processed and authorized, or can they go back weeks or even months?
If your bank doesn't do a charge back and you told them it was for online gambling (which they know is illegal) wouldn't your bank be liable for allowing that transaction to occur/stand?
I guess I'm looking for any examples from people after doing a charge back and if there were any consequences with the bank or u.s.
Obviously the book is going to then be "stiffed" (whether its for a good reason or not) but other than phone calls are they going to take any serious action to try and get "their" money back?

This is by far the worst service I have ever seen. I cursed a few times in a chat session because they would not approve my payout (I put in $250 of my own money, and they would not give me $100 back, and had a few hundred in there). So because I cursed, they CLOSED MY ACCOUNT. They said they would ONLY open it when "Tony" or "Becky" looked at it to open it....yet they had NO IDEA when those two people would come in, and NO ONE else could help resolve the situation. They would not help the situation and several reps started bad talking me. A couple of them said to me, "you can complain if you want, but I'm not doing anything, and we'll just text you when Tony gets in" .... this is absolutely ridiculous that a company like this would close an account over a few curse words and be more worried about that, then making money like the business is there to do. Go to Bovada.lv ....Never an issue there, and they will send you a check whenever you request your money. 5Dimes "bonuses" will give you 10% of your bonus every "x" amount of bets, and if they give you those bonuses, they make it so you can't cash any of your money out for 30 days...by doing this they ensure that you will keep your money in there longer, so you have more of a chance of losing it and they won't let you take any out. Terrible business practices all around.

5dimes and Tony store 1800 dollars from me a few months ago all because 4 years ago I had a $50 debit card deposit that didn't go through because the money wasn't in my checking account.. tried to cash out and the next day my account balance was 0 I was told I had to talk to tony at which point I was introduced to the biggest fool I have ever met he told me that all of my winnings were void since I had a credit card transaction charge back I told him he could listen to several conversations that I had with several agents that assured me that this was no longer an issue and that my account was reset to $0 and we were starting fresh.. he would not listen to me nor listen to the conversations that I had with the agents then he close my account and would never speak to me again I lost the 1800 dollars and was never given any of it I was not even given my deposit back

Let me tell you how Tony operates. Dont try to get over on him and you will never have any problems. Try to get over on him when a bad line is posted and you will regret it.
Moral. You KNOW if a line is bad. DONT BET IT. You have more to lose than you have to gain. Be on the up and up and you'll be just fine.

Does anyone have a contact phone number or email for 5dimes 'customer services'?
I opened an account with them a few weeks ago but now when I try to log on I get a '462 Forbidden Region' from DOSarrest. This could be legit, in that I am based in the UK and recent changes to gambling legislation has forced books to close uk accounts. On the other hand, this whole thread and the lack of direct communication suggest otherwise, But as I can't even raise the website I have no way of making contact at the moment, which is why I'm making the request. Fortunately I had only deposited a trial amount of cash to see how things went, but I would still like to discuss the situation with them before writing it off.
