How about the web site breaking down every Sunday before kickoff.  How about advertising you get plus 10% on winning

horse bets and not able to get it.  How about closing the horse

race 10 minutes before post time.  How about those football numbers.  Every number has a money line attached to it.  5 dimes

does not give up a penny.  How about the halftime numbers, if

you try to get a number it is always gone and they make you take

a bad number.

Golfkat, I play the NY tracks and I have never seen a difference with the post times.

Then you are not betting with 5 dimes.  I  tried to put a bet in at

hollywood and they closed the race when the horses where at

the bottom of the backstretch, walking back to the starting gate

that was in the chute.  You never know when they are going to

close the race.

Guy caught a bad line and then rolled up 40 k with FREE MONEY..... Tony has every right to be pissed and take the money, says in the agreement you are responsible for returning any money paid out on a bad line

im new to the industry....whats considered a bad line,and why is it your fault if they have it up  for wagering?

Yeah the guy caught a bad line and won like $2,000 off that bet. He then when on a hot run and won $50,000. This was weeks later. He had also called customer service regarding the bad line and they assured him it was right. Justin7 even states the rules of the sportsbooks are Tony can void the wager with the bad line, but not the remainder of the wagers. There's no way to prove he wouldn't have deposited more money and hit that run. It was weeks later they caught on, at that point Tony only has the right to take the money won off that 1 bad line. Seems to me like you're the one not reading the entire story.

this is a horrible, horrilbe story and if true, this wouldnt fair well for tony if this was my money.

in fact, it owuldve ended very badly for him.

To those of you that bet no more than a couple hundred a play and deposit and request withdrawals via Money-gram or Western Union then 5dimes is probably a great book to play at. They offer many wagering options. Most people will put up with the worst customer service as a trade off for betting options.  If they ever really have to deal with Tony or go on a run for thousands then they will have wished they had played elsewhere. If that doesn't happen then all is well and to each his own. A pissing match over books in a forum will help nobody.

However posting true information regarding first person experiences may help someone find a book they like or save them money and stress later on.

Listen, if they post a bad line and you win.  They should pay off, what happens when you lose the bet? They WILL NOT refund your bet.  If you lose the bet they won't put the money in your

account and say you went into a bad number there was not bet.

I am surprised this situation does not come up more ofter.  Tony

could make plenty pulling that stunt.

So if you make a deposit to your bank of $900.00 and they credit your account $9000.00 by error...YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP IT ?

And again if you read the story, the poster was down to his last $1.57 in the account and ended up pulling off 11k after this "hot streak." as far as I can tell the poster is the one who ended up with a lot of someone else's money actually changing hands........ I.E. His 1.57 into 40k, no one actually exchanged money until he requested his payout.... So regardless of who is right.... Poster +11k Tony -11k, The poster is saying he also wants the other money owed him which is why you contended he was "robbed" 40 k but as I stated, he is up about 10,998.43 if my math is right...

Also common guys, he did not get "robbed" by a stickup-kid in Central Park, We all know the risks of throwing money around in an unregulated industry and then when people have trouble they say "HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN???""""" 

If they could influence and rip off stock markets Y do you think ILLEGAL gambling would be different??? Use your common sense fellas and protect your fools, Best you can do.....

You're clearly ignorant, as in you're uneducated in regards to this subject. The rules of the book is that he can only take the funds won from the one bad line back. This is 5dimes rule which was posted on the rules page. The rest of the money won from the bad line are supposed to stand. The guy deposited on the regular, so there is no saying he wouldn't have deposited again after losing that money and hit the run. There's no need to defended Tony and 5Crimes. Tony thinks he's the modern day Al Pacino, but he has to be an absolute fool to think people will fall for his empty threats. The people who defend 5Crimes are guaranteed deposit only players. Reality is, every book loves deposit only players, who wouldn't?

Hey... lemme add my 2 cents.  I moved over to 5Dimes from BoDog a few years ago and have had ZERO problems with this bunch.  Payouts have been extremely quick.  Western Union payments in hand in 2-3 business days... unbelievable.

Absolutely no complaints from this very satisfied customer.

In my experience people that complain about slow grading of winning wagers don't have enough money to be gambling anyway and likely lose a lot and bet more than they should.

Further 5d has mirror sites that have always worked for me regardless of when you are trying to get in and I play a lot of in game lines.

As far as payouts, I have never had an issue in the past and in fact have received my money faster than other sites I have used in the past.

My only frustration has been them limiting in game wager amounts for some games for me but aside from that if you are looking offshore I have not played with a better book in today's gambling environment.

On a side note, if you know the rules about bad lines you are smart enough not to bet them regardless of what customer service tells you. Most of us have seen bad lines on the site and it's easy to just stay away from those games. I think both tony and the player have a valid argument with regard to the 40k however if you avoid the bad lines to begin with you never have to worry about that.

I have been with 5dimes for years.  I have lost plenty just like anybody, but I have also won a load of cash with them as well.  I was paid 5-figures a couple times, no problem at all.

I wish pinnacle was still around, and I also wish my favorite matchbook was around for USA players.  But they are not, and 5dimes is the best available for my money.  They take large wagers, and also offer low vig for smaller wagers.  They pay and they don't cheat.  I have no problem riding a big balance in my account, as good as a bank for me.

Their reliability is something that could be improved.  Many times I cannot log on to get a wager in... but usually it ends up being a loser so I'm not crying lol

I played at 5Dimes forever too and about a year ago they started pulling all kinds od crap. Canceled wagers,suspending acct and making me prove that I didn't violate T&C'S,bounced checks,and the list goes on forever. And when you contact Tony you ate guilty until proven innocent. They froze me and confiscated my funds because a clerk said I was betting correlated parlays. I was locked out and Tony flipped on me. I made him review my acct himself and he found no correlated plays whatsoever. He never apologized but did reopen my acct and acted like I was supposed to thank him. I was guilty of nothing but had to prove it.

Dump this book because they are going downhill fast and there are several better options like Heritage and YouWager.

This site just robbed me of 10k....from the same guy Tony, first time i actually make big money after spending money constantly losing on 5 dimes...which is of course my fault, blame is all on me

but i finally win a substantial amount and all of a sudden this thug Tony who trust me is one of the rudest people i have ever talked to...posts a bad line, and pays me for it...even though i called them and told them that night, that it was a bad line and was honest with them...they still pay me...then the next day all of a sudden i have minus in my account for the wager....as soon after waiting 4 hours to talk to some guy named tony all he says is if u refute it, i'm taking all your wagers...i mentioned one more thing to him and he took all my pending wagers and closed my account, no questioins and he refuses to talk to me....scumbag
