This whole situation has been very frustrating to me because I've been getting regularly tortured by people reading other sources and then coming back here and complaining that so-and-so apparently made betED a great offer and they turned it down. Therefore, the theory goes, betED must be in it for themselves.
What's frustrating to me is that I was informed of one of these "great" offers that betED declined. And in fact it came directly from one of the operations that the other forums are begging betED to reconsider.
So I won't name any particular names, but the offer was something like this:
betED gets cash upfront (very nice for them, they supposedly need it).
betED also gets a sweet rev-share deal on the lifetime of those customers (again, another obvious plus for betED).
The players get a 10X rollover, which is probably pretty standard.
The players have to stay with the book for a minimum of 90 days, with the idea of locking them down till football season starts... huh?
betED said they rejected that deal because they didn't think the players should get locked into something with time restrictions, and they have been working other pitches with other operations.
But, as I said, I'm getting tired of the entire saga, and maybe this is actually a good deal for the players after all.
So, I'm going to poll the betED players right now...
Do you think a deal like this is a good deal or not? Would you want betED to make a similar deal?
Because I know the betED guys read this forum and that deal was definitely a financial winner for them. So if you want them to pursue something like that, vote "Yes".
Otherwise they can continue down the path they are going.

Is BetEd really in a position here Freedom to be rejecting offers that even you yourself note would be a "great" deal for them in the other thread Freedom? I mean I don't want to seem callous, but why should I believe that BetEd has the best interests of their customers in mind in terms of negotiating a "buyout deal" when, prior to the seizure of funds, they weren't even doing enough safekeeping to ensure that player funds were protected if something like what happened to the poker sites happened to them?

The breakdown I "Heard" was where they would do it month by month 10% of your balance, for 10 months or something alone those lines. 1X rollover or Match the balance with a Deposit and rollover 10X and you can get your money out anytime after that 10X rollover
I don't know about that other stuff, but I ONLY care about the rollover detail's

Freedom -- oh, I agree, I don't have to believe or trust anything. But isn't it kind of difficult to evaluate if its an acceptable deal for the players in a vacuum? I mean from what I read, it seems like you are saying that they rejected the deal from whatever the initial source was that you outlined because there were other deals on the table that they thought were better/more in the players' interests. If that's the case, how can players tell whether or not this deal described above is a good one? I mean its the only one they know about at this point, and when faced with taking that or taking nothing, I could see how a lot of people would want whatever sort of remedy they could find, you know?

So what exactly is going to happen beted is going to be back and they want people to deposit with them again??? I dont get exactly what they are trying to debate. Beted needs to gain trust among its players again if they ever want to have players play there again.

Nobody is saying that this is a GOOD or BAD deal for the players.
rich, I'm saying that they felt they could get a better deal for everybody. And the fact is... that WAS one of the offers.
GOOD or BAD?
Freedom -- how can you tell if it is a GOOD or BAD deal for the players in a vacuum? We have these assurances from you that there are other offers on the table that BetEd is evaluating. How can you expect people to have an opinion on whether or not this is a GOOD or BAD deal if they don't know the terms of the other deals on the table that are supposedly better for the players?
Does that make sense at all?

I don't have a dog in the fight, but what's the big deal about a 90 day lockdown of the players......and when football starts 90% of the players will keep playing......I know....I know that's the whole idea. They know most of the players will keep the money in for the season. Well, maybe just be college football, but it's football.
You wait 90 days if you really want your money back or say
Not get a damn penny at all.
Huge thumbs down to BetEd. Who the hell do they think they are to be judge of peoples money. They can get the players back in the game and get something in thier pocket.
Good deal for the players.

Agree...and at this point any deal is a good deal for the players. Whether it be the 90 day hold deal or the 10% at a time deal from betonline.
In all of this uncertainty, the only thing im certain of is that beted is not approving or turning down deals based on what is good for the player.

My vote then is GOOD. What type of compensation though if any will they give to all of us to get trust back with them and not just withdraw after 90 days and put all our funds though in betjamaica where we know we are safe.
