Fuck, I got a 6 and 7 year old niece and to think of someone gunning them down w/ a fucking "ASSAULT WEAPON" is beyond absurd!!! You want to know how to protect someone from a psycho with a gun? Well a start would be getting your own gun and the training it takes to know how to operate it properly. Oh no, that’s right. Yes, the idea of using a gun and proper training to protect yourself from an active shooter is clearly insane. It’s much better to call the police and then cower in fear while you wait for them to show up and attempt to rescue you and your family because you couldn’t do it yourself.
Maybe you, your family, and the shooter can play a board game while you wait for men with guns to come save you.

There are over 300,000,000 guns in America. If ANYONE wants a gun bad enough they can get one.
Criminals are always going to have guns. The only difference is whether law-abiding citizens are allowed the right to defend themselves.

The problem is that the guns law abiding citizens own are falling into the wrong hands. Don't allow anyone outside of law enforcement own a gun and death by gun will reduce. It actually is that simple and proven over and over again in other civilized countries.
All these shootings were in “gun free zones.” Law-abiding citizens aren’t allowed to carry guns in them.

How exactly do you propose the US “doesn’t allow anyone outside of law enforcement to own a gun” with a population of over 315,000,000 as well as over 300,000,000 guns?

None of the guns used in the Newtown shooting were assault rifles.
None of the guns used in any of these school shootings were assault rifles.

Banning guns, huh? There are over 300 million guns in America. How exactly do you propose the government goes about implementing and enforcing that ban?
Once again, there are two opinions:
1. The bad guys have guns
2. The bad guys AND law-abiding citizens have guns
That’s it. There is no door #3.
For the umpteenth time: all these shootings are in GUN FREE ZONES. Law-abiding citizens are not allowed to carry guns in them.
Oddly enough the bad guys don’t seem to pay much attention to those “gun free zone” signs. It’s almost as if criminals don’t obey the law.
