He doesn't believe in Heaven or Hell.
He doesn't believe in facts either so it's impossible to even have a discussion with this guy.
Right. Becuase coming from you, of all people, that absurd assertion is totally true.

I give you credit for trying (the "fact based" goldengoose couldn't bother), but fail.
I love how you highlighted "confess" there.
That's funny.
What kind of person reads those sentences and believes them to be:
1. Confessing of a sin
2. A guarantee of anything

I love how two non-religious people are here pretending to understand the bible. Remember "saved' = you go to heaven!!!
It is absurd.
Hint: -Confessing that Jesus is Lord means you will be saved as in converted.
For a breakdown of Romans 10:9 - which you clearly do not understand, you may want to read this:
Paul, in Romans 10:9-10, was no more telling sinners how to be converted than Moses in his last sermon was telling the Egyptians how to become Israelites

Ktrain,
as the links demonstrate: It's complicated.
The bible is 2000+ years old, and every paragraph has been interpretated differently.
My personal answer to your question re: Sandusky, is no. There is no possible way he can get to Heaven. The idea that all you need to do is repent for your sins is a silly Caricature interpretation that leftists pretend Christians believe. The 2nd link I posted shreds that and I'm not surprised a Godless person believes that.
There is nothing written in the Old Testament about getting into Heaven.
And so with this: "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be" (Revelation 22:12). "
My original reply to you still stands.

Ktrain,
There are no words in the bible which instruct that "if you do X, then you are guaranteed to go to Heaven"
None. Nothing.
There is however, a handy guide on how to live your life, cultivate your faith, and treat your fellow man which establishes a good foundation for how you will be judged.

Ktrain,
I don't read that at all. Post #100 by Rostos says:
In terms of who is going to go where, ie, Sandusky going to hell...No one knows
And I completely agree.

Matthew 19: 16-17
And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.”
John 3:3
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Matthew 19:23-24
And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Ktrain,
I don't know how they interpreted anything from the bible to make it sound like you shouldn't see a doctor is you are sick.
What I find most disappointing is, the majority of the people have never read the bible, yet when someone goes and does something and then says "the bible has that scripture" causing them to do such a bad thing, the majority of posters here gullible to believe them.
As I have asked many times, how does one interpret the teachings of Jesus to perform bad things? How? So many gullible posters on here who just believe people without digging into it

Lord, will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, “Strive to
enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter
and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen and
shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door,
saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I do not know
where you come from.’
