Been serving for 20 + years .Never waited on anyone famous. With Canadians.. Thank your lucky stars if you get 10% Worst of all is the " Dreaded Verbal Tip" .This means when a customer tells you what a great job you are doing ,and keeps complimenting you. Sure Sign you will get a shitty tip.Don't ask me why ...but it is true .

I lived in Scottsdale for a little while.........my girlfriend (at the time) bartended at Dos Gringos...............
Damn bro, you sure do get around a lot. St. Louis, Scottsdale, Sacramento, and now way east in Boston. And those are just some of the known places.
Now back to the topic,
Biggest Tipper = Clint Eastwood ( around '91 when I was bussing in a high end restaurant in northern Ca). Not just that he tipped well, but overall a genuine down to earth good guy.
Worst Tipper = Comedian Paul Rodriguez........arrogant prick in short of going into details.

i worked in the service industry biz in vegas for 5 1/2 years( tour guide/ late night sports book) and i can tell you that generally speaking the best tippers are from: las vegas, new york city, florida and hawaii. whenever i had a group from europe or the midwest/southeast i knew i was getting stiffed. on a side note,my biggest stiff story ever- a guy cashed an 8 team $25 football parlay. after i paid him the 2500 bucks he asked me if he got drink tickets with that. at this point he hadn't left anything on the counter. i looked at him, and then looked at the counter. it was obvious he wasnt going to leave a toke (casino speak for tip), so i told him he could buy a beer with the $2475 he had just profited.
tip the sportsbook teller? No way.

Best tippers - Charles Barkley was very good...Bas Ruten and Ken Shamrock...
Strippers always tipped well but they usually were gettin comp drinks and ordering different multiple liquor drinks ,shooters etc..USUALLY A PAIN IN THE ASS
People rolling on extascy and leaving a five spot for a free cup of water...Yea i could of charged them 3 bucks for a bottle water ...But i could make so much on tips giving out cups of water..

I work at a college bar so the only really "famous" people I see will be the football players. The one's that are recognizable to the average person don't really buy drinks cause all the college kids will just hand them shots and beers. And the one's that won't get free drinks (aka the 3rd stringers) are shitty tippers for the most part. They're broke though so I understand. Have served Hootie and the Blowfish's drummer and he was a good tipper though.

4 years ago i was a bartender at grand national golf course in auburn/opelika alabama. 12 players from the atlanta braves were hitting every course on the trail and racked up a bar tab worth $1,172.76. well it was my lucky day because they were matching whatever their tab was as a tip to keep them well 'hydrated'. unfortunately, my boss insisted on having 2 bartenders to make sure they all stayed happy so i had to split the tip but a cool $600 to hear a bunch of baseball stories for 3 or 4 hours was pretty much the coolest thing ever. still have the receipt framed back at my parents house.

You should have given Marshall Faulk a fucking hand job, he doesn't owe anyone SHIT son... I love that dude.
I actually just missed Marc Bulger at the bar yesterday here in Pittsburgh They have a signed bulger jersey written out to the owner of the place, I asked about it and he said Marc was in about an hour earlier. Its extremely gay, but just being honest, I'll probably hang out there more often and I might just happen to have my Bulger jersey in the car just in case.
Part of me hates the crumbling box who can't take a hit, but he was still a great Rams QB.
