Seen an oddity. Becoming a clear tell. When bitcoin starts to soar it seems a military action is imminent. Case In point about 5 days before the Syrian bombing campaign bit coin made a huge gain leading up to the eventual bombing run then tampered. As talks broke down with North Korea again a modest gain in the value of this currency. El Salvador is now in a three way civil war as drug cartels move against each other. And again bit coins are starting to surge....

An interesting article by Timothy Tam discusses the manipulation of Bitcoin and crypto currency and the bot programs to buy and sell with certain triggers say if an automatic buy in enough programs was 5999 then a huge jump in short term prices should be experienced as the coin slides again an automatic sell was at 10 g then profit margins as the buy and sell was adjusted further to a 7 percent daily adjustment the currency would be more stable . But I am not sure what the recognizable ceiling and floor are....

Then there is reality bit coin continues to slide currently 6080 doen from 6111 to start the day.
bit coins worth is generated by the fixed number of coins availible 21 million or billion i skimmed the popular science mags while waiting for a physical yesterday.
With 82% all ready in the market the owners. Can flood the market to a certain extent and take their profits as needed. But then the program is made for only that number to be allowed while ethercoin and others release a new billion every month the currency immediately plummets ether coins went from 310 to 10 cents in seconds.now back to 400 plus and at the beginning down she goes. Barclay banking system devoloped the currencies algorythm but without insider knowledge the new coins can be suspended or tripled due to the will of the bank.again with so many uncertainties and uncontrollable risk factors in this new and unstable currency might as well avoid till some come of stability comes to the markets. Except bit coin with only a fixed number and a world wide knowledge the last coin allowed from the bank then only these coins can be used....

"R Skinner" was a brain glich as I was thinking of BF Skinner the innovative Harvard behaviorist who postulated that man is conditioned in his responses and thus has no Free Will,which seemed apropo in your case.
I looked up quotes of R Shiller recent,and I think it would be dishonest to place quotation marks around your statement above.
Shiller expressed difficulty making predictions but expressed certainty that if bitcoin existed in 100 years,it would not be called bitcoin and he thought it would fade.He continued to note that bitcoin was the Greatest Bubble ever.
I could not find even a Back-Handed endorsement anywhere.

According to Altusher, the society changed its money several times: gold replaced barter as a means of exchange; paper money replaced gold as a store of value; and bitcoin and other crypto currencies will replace paper money and become a new means of transferring value.
