Many of the people in this forum choose things that others can't understand. I can't fathom why someone would smoke cigarettes or why someone would not want children. Too each their own. Kapono you are an old vet to this forum and something tells me that you don't really give a fuck what others think of you or your lifestyle. I think most gay people are just numb and want to be left alone. If they get shit, they get could at letting it roll off their backs.
I'm very libertarian in that I think people should be left alone to do as they so choose more or less. I agree with you that most gay people just want to be left alone so they don't have to deal with hateful assholes. Why would anyone willingly choose that? It makes no sense.

There is a difference to you......but is their a difference if you see them walking down the street holding hands and you don't know the back story?
There's not just a difference to me, its a difference in definition. I'm not sure what it matters if people don't know the backstory? I'm not following you here.

Man, i associate with gay people on a daily basis, and im willing to bet (we are on covers you know) that i work and associate with gays and lesbians much more than anyone in this thread.
Thats on them and whatever makes them happy. Its just not for me. I just dont think you or any news station should be concerned with how people raise their kids. If they want to raise them whatever way they want to they can........ this is the USA, not Soviet Russia.
This thread is laughable
Couldn't agree more

Have in the past and current some very good friends/colleageus that were gay. Never knew but that was never any issue. Good people and good friends that I've always respected and guarded carefully from any ridicule.
The homosexuals that do not respect a man's heterosexuality is most offensive. I respect them as I do with every other human being, but when that line is crossed in any way, then the friendship/trust is completely terminated..... immediatly.
Treat everybody with dignity and respect regardless of any orientation/appearance/color until proven otherwise. Way I roll.

A couple of years ago, I posed on here as a gay man. My moniker was gaybettor - for any of you who remember. I did it under the auspices of finding out how people would react in this "macho" forum.
For the record, I am not gay and I've never had a male sexual endeavor. I will not either. I grew up with gay people and I found this to be a good place to somewhat experience any foul behavior by my fellow man.
Candidly, I was surprised. I'd say 95% of you out there were very accepting and 5% were crude, inane and downright vulgar. I actually made friends with a few and we spoke on the phone. None of the people I spoke with was gay - just good people wanting to share information on making money betting. It was most impressive.
I have a gay man as a client. One day he told me that he had no choice in the matter of being gay. It's simply the way he is. He asked me a very profound question.... "Do you think I would openly choose to have a lifestyle where I'm an outcast, ridiculed, and belittled?"
I got the point.

I have no issues with any gay people at all. I have a few friends that I had worked with that were gay and I never even knew it. And when I found out it didn't really bother me.
However...
I DO have a problem with gay guys who act overly flamboyant to gain attention and I also have an issue when they show their affections towards one another in public. I am not talking about holding hands or a peck on the cheek....
Last week the wife and I were at Westmoreland Mall and there was a group of emo looking kids both male and female and 2 of the guys were making out in the middle of mall right next to where there is a play area for the kids...

As a heterosexual, I don't remember choosing to be heterosexual, why is it different for homosexuals
Did you go suck some c..ks first and plunge into a hole of shit first?
No , alot of gay people get in realtionships/marry/live with/have kids with the opposite sex THEN become gay ........that my friend is a choice. If you were truely "born gay" you wouldnt need to try out the other sex you would already know .All hetros already know they arent gay
