i am 31 and a couple days ago went out with this girl i went to high school with, she is 33 btw....back in school she used to always dress real grungy and do drugs and all that crap, but she gave all that up years ago and she is actuall kinda hot now, lol...anyway we went out to dinner, and just back to her place to hang out which all we did was talk....as i was leaving i asked for a kiss because things were going well, but she said how about a hug or a kiss on the cheek....not that is is not interested but she said she is just skiddish bout things....long read, sorry.  any way on my way home i apologized for being to forward  and asked her out again via text and she texted back saying she would love to hang out again and was sorry bout the kiss thing but said a kiss meant alot to her right now....she is divorced, but been divorced for several years....i texted her today but nothing serious...my question is, do i just let her text me asking to hang out or do i take the lead here?  i am willing to take it slow and wait to get some, lol, but whats your honest play here guys

You should have apologized for ASKING to kiss her!

Work up the nerve and make your move, or be a wuss and don't do it. The worst she can do is turn her cheek.

But from now on, let her come to you.

You don&#x27;t have to throw yourself on a girl to try and get a kiss.  &#xD;&#xA;Create your moment and strike.  The worst she can do is give you the &#xD;&#xA;cheek.  We have all been shot down at some time or another. I agree sometimes it is worth the wait - but it doesn&#x27;t sound like you were trying to wait.  If you were truly waiting, you would not have even asked to kiss her to begin with.  You would have waited.And gentlemen open car doors and send flowers, not ask to kiss a girl.  Some guys can overcome that, but nearly every girl I have ever asked what they think about a guy asking them if they can kiss her says it&#x27;s gay.  They laugh at that like they do a dude telling them they love them after dating for only two weeks. IMO, asking for a kiss shows insecurity or it shows you are looking for assurance on how your date went.  If she kissed you, she "approved" of the date.I am not trying to bust your chops, but you asked for advice, and I am giving it.  But, it&#x27;s just my opinion and we all have one.If you really like her, slow play it.  Trying to kiss on the first date, regardless of HOW you tried to kiss her, is not slow playing it.Good luck however you choose to handle it.

First thing I noticed is that you asked her out via text. To me that's too impersonal and kid-like. You're 31, you should be comfortable enough to ask a woman out over the phone or face to face. Plus I think women appreciate it more too.

I agree with the others, as much as I hate the stupid ass games you have to play with women, you do have to play it cool and let her come to you. Women are annoying like that and get their advice from watching stupid romantic comedies with SJP, Katherine Heigl etc.

Here's what you have going for you;
-You went to high school with her which tells me you two have known each other for a long time even if there was a long layoff. This will help you overcome any bad moves (asking for a kiss) towards her because she has already developed an opinion or a first impression of you and knows you're not a bad guy. So this is good.
- You said you have 2 other women you can bang. This is good because you have that outlet for sex so you don't have to hang out with the girl you like while being on a dry spell, which could be very dangerous since your mind will be focused on sex too much.

This is just me, but I fully believe women are like animals. They can sense fear and insecurity in a man. So play it cool and one last piece of advice. Rub one out before you see her. Going on a date with a loaded gun can be dangerous too.

I'm no Dr Phil or anything but I like to think that my advice is pretty solid towards women.
