Goose, for the first time in my life I am staying home for the sole purpose of watching it.

I will also be flipping from channel to channel for the buildup. It's amazing how talking heads from various channels can be watching that exact same event unfold, yet see 2 completely different things happening.

I voted for this man, but I'm present at work today.  

Interested to see how the markets will react.  3 major indexes are pretty much even.  

Throughout his first term, interested to see how Utilities and precious metals and mining will fare.  

I think Mr. Trump is inheriting an market that's set to crash.  

Just my thoughts.

I agree Slobb. The Fed is set to commit to tightening and play politics. Look for the current spike in home prices and strong equities market to undergo a correction.

FWIW, I took a decent position in the crypto currency ethereum last Tuesday in case of any shenanigans today. It is a small market, but if chaos ensues, then even a few hundred thousand buys will run the market north.

If/when it does crash, watch all the Liberals blame him.  

Yellen and the Fed had many opportunities to raise rates before the election, but I think they were playing politics at that time.  They were counting on a Clinton presidency.  Didn't happen.

Of course come December a rate hike was overly due.

I hope so. Dems have played nice for far too long. They should have buried Bush for 9/11. But, they chickened out. If a Democrat was President on that day, I guarantee the Right would have had no problem blaming the President for it.

Going to be interesting 90 people arrested in dc earlier.  I tell you they are already doing a lot with abortion stuff.  Indiana and here in Iowa.  Governor put forward a bill to de fund planned parent hood and they are talking about letting a lady who has a abortion and experiences emotional distress sue the doctor that did it.
