30 day elimination period.. guy is sick for 3.5 months and gets $500 for each month he is sick.
Part that is tricky is the elimination period is defined as the period of time that one has to e sick or disabled before he starts receiving benefits... BUT also says it serves as a deductible.... which throws me off
Is the answer $1250 (saying he receives basically only 2.5 months after the 30 day elimination period)
Or is the answer $1750 (saying he simply has to wait 30 days but then receives the full 3.5 months disability)
Please any help here would be greatly appreciated by any insurance guys... Nevada and New York I believe are the only states you need to get 80% on all three sections of the life, health and casualty test... I have taken it 4 times and passed 2/3 sections but miss the last section with a 76%, 78% and 74% passing in basically 48 of the 50 states but I live in Nevada..
Test doesn't let u see the right answers to your questions so I am getting repeat questions and no idea if right or not. Please any help for a fellow degenerate.. I studied over 200 hours for this test it's these questions that I cant find answers to tho because they are hypothetical and cant find any examples online
ill will post some more questions any feedback will be appreciated.. my football plays you can follow in pro and college will be my payment back to you thank you

im not disputing your answer I just want to understand

What do you mean by this? If you are talking about the premium than yes you still pay it.
The elimination period is just the number of days stated in the policy before your benefits start.

he just has to simply wait the 30 days to receive the FULL 3.5 month benefits?
30 days from the day he files the claim. So if you filed today your benefits would start October 1st. Hope that helps. Got any other questions? Happy to help.

So he would receive $1750 based on my original question?
No he does not get a check for the first 30 days so he gets paid for 2.5 months.
Another example would be getting unemployment in California. You put the last date you worked. They have a 14 day waiting period. So your benefits start after the 14.days.
If you have taken the test four times how long to you have to wait until you take it again. Add me to your friends list and I will help you out.

damn fellas a helping hand here would put me over the top...
any of you guys who have been on this forum a long time take a guess who this is posting? btw
So according to your thread in the Website Promotions section, you were supposed to be some well rounded Clearing House bigshot. Yet you cant figure out Double Indemnity riders? Are you sure you weren't working at Publisher's Clearing House?
I would think employers like the CME Group, etc., would have minds that can solve these brain twisters.
401K = Trust Fund.

Damn CG...way to be modest with your new(est) alias. You've only been in Vegas 7-8 months...but you're the King, huh!?
Anyway, to do my fair part...since Kursh is being a true bro. I'm agreeing with post #16. Same applies in Texas--you must wait, and only receive benefits AFTER the waiting period ends.

I get over 70% everytime unfortunetly Nevada u need an 80% the only state in the United States where the requirement is not a 70% go figure. Figure it would be the lowest here.
Appreciate it DUDEITOLDU- so based on ur response like Kursh (who is a great guy and very willing to help me)
30 day elimination period, sick for a month $500 a month u get.... he gets zero? how does that make sense

appreciate it. that one is tricky.

Once the elimination period has been satisfied, monthly benefit checks will begin to come in at the end of the month.
It is important that you understand once the elimination period has been satisfied, you receive actual benefit checks at the end of the month. In reality, a 90 day elimination period means you are four months away from getting any claims dollars on a disability insurance claim.

Guy is sick Jan 1st... 30 day elimination period I 100% understand he gets zero money in Jan but in February how much would he receive? based on $500 a month for each month sick... you tell me $500 then the $1750 is true on my first question..
They word it like this...
Bill is disabled for 3.5 months.... he has a 30 day elimination period in his contract... he gets $500 per month for disability... after he satisfies the 30 day elimination period HOW MUCH IN BENEFITS WOULD HE RECEIVE?
Worded like that the answer is still $1250? I was thinking to myself the following... OK, he satisfied the elimination period of 30 days... NOW He still must get paid for the 3.5 months at $500 a month since he satisfied the elimination period, no?

based on what u wrote in bold wouldn't that contradict your answer of $1250 on the first question.... we get it he dosent get paid during the elimination period but after that is over how would he not receive the full 3.5 months based on at u wrote in bold?
