Its a real shock to be as I thought and was told I am going to get a tether instead. However, that is not the case. I don't want sympathy, or a bunch of ass rape jokes. Im looking for some insight and maybe some advice on how to deal with it.

Okay-you've gotta figure out what direction your headed.
Are you going to try and smuggle dope inside? Or is your "pro" career taking a back seat for the rest of your life?
I remember reading this one book where the guy said "If you don't want to be bothered, just punch the hell outta the first person that tries to talk to you.................people will then not want to talk to you"
Might be some good/strange advice. You have to balance that with getting time off for good behavior.
If you can get a job inside, try food server. An extra piece of cornbread on a tray could help you a lot..............
Read/study for whatever you can to improve yourself on your now "outside" job. I don't care if you scoop ice cream, LEARN MORE about ice cream.

The first time I went to prison I was 14 years old. Skinny little boy......very afraid. Buy the time I came out I had a beard......I was grown man. I went back to my hometown. I found my mother. I kissed her and she screamed. She didn't recognize me. I have been in three different prisons FreezyF. Three different countries. And you know what I learned? I learned prison is a bad place to be. Nine months is a long time. Some men would do anything to avoid Nine months in prison.
This is my advice to you: When you get there....figure it out who's who. Find the man nobody's protecting. A man without friends....and beat him until his eyes bleed. Let them think you are a little bit crazy, but respectful too. Respectful of the right man. You are a good looking boy. It won't be easy for you. I remember I was 14 when I first went. I tattooed "survive"on my hand the night before I went to prison. And I did. We do what we have to do to survive.

Our justice system at it's best. Locking him up for a drug that should be legal
Another shitty aspect of our justice system is that those with money have a much greater chance to keep themselves out of prisons, they have the ability to have the best legal team representing them, they have the ability to have records expunged (crazy to think that you can "pay" to have incidents "disappear" from your record---that's just insane to me), ect. ect. ect.
