Need a new TV!!

Question

In the market for a new TV. Just wanted to know if anyone had any good recommendations?? I'm going to be watching mostly sports on it. I'm gonna be abt 10 feet away. I'm thinking a 32 inch LED? Anyone can help thanks!

I personally like Panasonic TVs but Samsung and Sony also make an excellent TV.   From what you have said a 32" would probably be good.

dont know if plasma/led tv does this but movies/tv shows on a 120 hz lcd tv looks like a low budget film.

a 32 inch tv at 10 feet away? I&#x27;m go alot bigger than that &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;I&#x27;m 10 feeet away and have a 54 inch tv and it looks great on a 60 inch stand

He&#x27;s right.....at 10 feet you could go 60"...........but if you don&#x27;t want that much tv at least buy as much size as you&#x27;re comfortable with. After a while your tv "shrinks".......&amp; you&#x27;ll wish you had a bigger screen. LCD&#x27;s &amp; Plasma&#x27;s allow you to position them better in the room........LCD&#x27;s are better for bright rooms, plasma&#x27;s for rooms with light control. Find one you like, feed it HD with the proper cabling, &amp; get some sort of surround sound system, even if it&#x27;s just a HTIB. Most of the bigger but more compact tv&#x27;s (like LCD &amp; Plasma) suffer in the sound dept.   Good time to buy coming up.......

Although I do like sony and samsung sets a lot, I hear panasonic makes some of the best tvs as far as the color quality. Personally, I got a new tv not too long ago and chose to go with an insignia. Does everything all the more expensive units do, came with a built in dvd player, and saved me good money. Good Luck.

Have you guys run into the latest scam? I went with my girlfriend to help her get an HD set and they wanna charge her an additional $299 for what they call "room calibration". After the TV is in your house and has adjusted to the lighting, they come over and adjust the colors on the TV to match the lighting in your house.

If you buy a 32 you are just going to wish it was a 41, it's a huge jump and you don't realize how 'not big' a 32 really is.

I got a Samsung 42" plasma 2 years ago for $600, just an unadvertised sale at sears... I was looking at refurbished and everythign else and that was still the best deal, I love the TV.

I have had a 46" DLP that I liked.....it crapped the bed about a year ago. I replaced it with a similar Panasonic Plasma Viera which I love. It's great for sports....maybe not so great for video games. I have a 37" LG LCD in my basement.....don't like it as much to watch....but is solid for video games.

I have a buddy who installs and recommends home environments.....entertainment-wise. He recommended the Panasonic Plasma. I think I spent about $800 for it.

10ft?....50" plasma ( Samsung ) I love it.&#xD;&#xA;My Daughter has 42" plasma in her room ( Pioneer ) . &#xD;&#xA;50" ....Think Big.
