Newsflash< Its gonners - what $1,000?? You bet away 280 Hours of slaving away. You can spend it on gas, drugs, beer, clothes, furniture, concert tickets, a car, a girl, a vacation. You decided to spend it on a wager you had no business placing. At some point around the $500.00 mark you should have tapped out. Betting hundreds at a time is the worst way to make it up. Someytimes it better to cut your losses and get over it.

As of now, this money is the same cash  you VERBALLY spent!!

Ya see - the phone call you placed to this college bookie was the same thing as taking 10 - One Hundred dollar bills and spending them.

Its easy to bet. Its not easy to pay up. You should never bet unless you are MORE than comfortable loosing it.

Lots of bookies will let you work a small amount of $$ (like a grand) off for favors.
I have a buddy who is a General Contractor and does all kinds of shit for his bookie to work off debt when he is down. Not a bad deal for either party if you think about it.
Bookie might not go for it but then again there is a chance he will.
Now I have heard crazy stuff like a bookie wanting sexual favors, etc....That for me would definitely be a  NO GO unless my bookie were a Hot Female, which they never are! Terrible to say but if your bookie is gay maybe you can give him a dozen sessions of slob knob! God Forgive me!

My best friend lost 17 grand when he was 17 years old; his parents had to refinance their house to pay off his bookie, who was threatening to burn down their house.  He then lost another 5 grand (at age 30), ducked the bookie for a year and now has to pay off a loan shark who bought his debt.  Some people never learn. 

This kid just ignored 30 people telling him to stop betting and pay off the debt, and then made his hole twice as big by parlaying the BROWNS?!?  I'd say I'd want him as a client if I were a bookie, but I have a feeling I'd never get paid...stupid kids!
